The Flight Club reopened on Friday after being closed for construction on the casino. The Flying Aces Casino was open for a preview before official operations begin on April 29. Connected to the strip club, the casino is on two levels, and has gaming tables for poker, black jack and roulette. No slots. The tables were staffed by attractive young women, and the customers face glass walls that look into the strip club. Michigan has outlawed smoking in bars but smoking is allowed in casinos, which will be good for smokers (but bad for us who don't want to die from lung disease). The casino looks very classy and will bring in more profits for the owner. Personally, I'm against gambling. Gambling is a sordid vice that takes the hard-earned money that people need to buy the necessities of life, like lap dances.

The Flight Club itself has undergone remodeling, and its appearance has improved. The main stage now has two catwalks leading to small circular stages, and there are usually two dancers on the main stage and one on each of the smaller stages. The DJ is visible in a booth at the back of the stage. The music was even louder than usual, and I hope they reduce the decibel level before I go deaf.

The dancers now have to wear long gowns at the beginning of their sets and when they walk around the club. Several girls grumbled to me because they had to pay for the gowns out of their own pockets and some feel gowns are not flattering to them. I have to agree that gowns look hot and sexy on tall, thin dancers, but others look better in bikinis or just bikini bottoms.
