I spent a wasted hour in this club on a late Saturday afternoon during my stay in Ottawa.I can say that this club has a great location in the ByWard market area - a really funky area of Ottawa within a stone's throw of Canada's historic Parliament Buildings.<p> The club is on the upper floors of an old building. The audience area and main stage is the first floor you see after climbing the stairs into this club. Lap dances take place on another floor above (I didn't make it that far on my visit). When I arrived I found the place to be filled with young guys wearing hockey jerseys obviously there to watch the evening's hockey game on TV. I went to the back bar for a $7 beer and found a seat to watch the girls. Big problem - there weren't ANY! I counted exactly four dancers sprinkled through the crowd drinking with different tables of jocks.<p> There were no waitresses just a harried bartender trying to keep up with drink orders from these thirsty hockey fans. Only one of the dancers was lap dance worthy for me but I wasn't going to be able extricate her from her table of jocks with a stick of dynamite. A pompous bouncer walked through the room fussing with stupid shit. He hassled a table of guys for moving chairs around. These guys stood up en masse and told him to get dancers on stage, bring them more beer, and then to fuck off! Hmmmmm. Scrap brewing? I decided to wait to see.<p>The bouncer turtled and scurried into a back room while making a frantic call on his cell. I was sure he was phoning for reinforcements. With no action on stage I thought I would I stay to see what I was sure was a coming fracas. I bought another beer and sat back and waited in anticipation. More and more guys came into the club. One girl got up on stage and did a desultory tour . And...........nothing. No more dancers, no fight, and after an additional half hour no more farmerart.<p> I walked over to Hy's for a great rib eye and a bottle of bordeaux. End of my Ottawa stay.
