From time to time I check...

From time to time I check out the Playpen when I'm in the area. It never was worth making a special trip for, but if i'm driving by and have time, I'll stop for a beer.

The place hasn't changed much. Still a downscale joint with bathrooms I'm too scared to use. The women that were there (I counted three on the floor and never saw any more) were pretty bad. They were friendly enough, but just weren't attractive at all. Two of them (a black and a latina) were easily 35 years old. The white dancer looked like she was in her late 20s but had lived hard.

For those of you who don't know this place, it's just a bar. There is no "entertainment" or dance stage. Instead the girls working there just walk around, asking people if they want a dance. THe dances are 10 bucks, and unless you're really desperate, are not worth it. The dances happen right at the bar. The dancers don't take anything off, but just kind of grind their patrons.

I've never seen any "extra mileage" given. Perhaps meeting after the shift is over might be able to negotiate an off site hookup, but I've never seen a "dancer" there that I'd drop any extra money on. Plus. I'd really be worried about contracting a disease.

THe only thing this place has going for it is 5 buck beers and no cover charge. Don't waste your time.
