Was dragged into the Admiral at 4:30am by a drunken buddy once again after night of heaving drinking in the city. While I can appreciate the fact that this place is open til six in the morning, the juice bar factor (well, if could actually get a nice freshly squeezed juice I might feel different) always kills this place for me.

The ladies on shift were okay, but I do not know why this place has such a reputation for gorgeous woman dancing here. I mean yeah there some hot chicks, and there were some nicely toned bodies no doubt, but quite a bit of butter face and silicone.

Was seated unknowingly in the VIP section by the floor host and did like that I was sitting right next to one of the side stages. After I relaxed a bit, I was having an okay time throwing singles at the girls dancing right in front of me. The sitting arrangement did come back to bite me in ass though, as when I broke down and got a couple table dances they were $20 instead of the $10 since I was "VIP". Did not try any dances in the private booths so I cannot comment, but the couple of table dances I got were okay considering I was not expecting much. I did like that the dancer handed me her business card, it actually had her stage name and the title "entertainer" on them. I thought it was a nice touch and the cards give me 1/2 off the cover for "next time".

The history behind the Admiral is pretty cool I have to admit as it was a burlesque theater back in the day and I like that is holding on in a way to its heritage. The theater itself has retained some cool vintage architectural details in an Egyptian theme.

All in all, if you are wasted late at night, don't want to go home and feel like blowing some cash on a not exactly satisfying visit to a strip club, then by all means make your way down Lawrence to the Admiral.
