Methinks The Dancing Bear is about...

Methinks The Dancing Bear is about ready to go into permanent hibernation. No improvement whatsoever from my last visit. Dancers (only four working) were even older (35+) and more out-of-shape. One in particular looked really scary. Dance prices were quoted at $30 and up to which I just lightly chuckled and quietly declined. Only one other patron was present and he also declined to partake in the personal entertainment options.

The interior decorator is still AWOL and it shows which makes me wonder what the $15 cover is being allocated to. Parking still sucks and you risk getting towed unless you park on the side streets which is a long walk from the front door.

The only thing that might save this club in the short term is the closing of Jiggles in the District and the reality that the dancers there will have to relocate. Seriously though, I can't see many of them setting up shop here. Over the long term, this club is history as it has failed to establish an affirmative presence on the local scene.
