While traveling through the area, I decided to stop and visit the Penthouse Club on a recent Friday afternoon. Mandatory $7 valet parking. Inside, the club is clean and beautifully appointed. Hard to estimate the number of dancers -- I'd say probably 20 or so (mostly 8s but a fair number of 9s and 10s too). Number of customers about the same or maybe a little more, so the ratio was good. Dancers rotate through half a dozen positions on three stages, so once you've spotted a girl you like -- and engaged her via some stage-side chit-chat -- you may have to wait awhile before she is ready to come and join you. It seems like the dancers don't really go out of their way to approach you here: you have to make the first move by catching her eye, looking friendly, talking with her, etc. Not a bad thing, really, since you are spared the awkwardness of having to deal with unwanted advances.

After a short while, I connected with a tall, well-proportioned brunette who really appealed to me in a Brooke Burke kind of way: definitely a 10. We proceeded upstairs to one of the curtained lap-dance rooms near the elevator. I gave a small tip to the bouncer to ensure our privacy, and away we went. A few songs later, she was kneeling in front of me, gazing up at me with a sweet smile and taking care of my needs. Her 'verbal' skills were superb - really, among the best I've ever experienced. She supplied a couple of wipes for the clean-up; we shared a kiss, and I left feeling extremely satisfied. It was expensive for sure, but very pleasurable, totally unrushed, and definitely memorable. If I lived in the Detroit area, I'd probably go broke visiting this place.
