This review is a summary of two recent visits. The first was last Thursday fron 2-5 and the second was yesterday from 3-5:30. Cover was $5 and the bottled beer was $5.25. Both days had 40-50 customers with around 20-25 dancers.
Although there were quite a few dancers, they were all in their 30's and older. Most of the girls had the need to lose some weight and tone up if they wanted to be considered dancers, but at St James, dancing is not the attraction. Still, on both days, there was only one girl that was dance worthy. We went for a dance in the downstairs rooms, the rooms were occupied, so I suggested going upstairs. She declined, so I blew her off. In my expereience, if they don't go upstairs, they usually do not perform to expectations.
None of the regular girls I used to see were in attendence on either day. I do not know what has happened, but the dancer quality has deteriorated. On a good note, the Tuesday happy hour buffet had some pretty decent food to sample before leaving for dinner. In my last two visits, I have had no dances. In my years of visiting "The Church", I do not recall ever leaving without getting dances. There has always been at least 3-4 girls that would strike my fancy.
