I arrived at the local, slightly undercrowded Stir Crazy a few weeks ago. Immediately when you arrive at the door, you're greeted by a bouncer who does a brief frisk after you pay a 5 dollar cover. The bouncer was a friendly chap so I wasn't too annoyed by it. It's his job. However, I must admit that it did make me feel a bit uncomfortable to be frisked on my first visit to the club that my friend had promised was "T and A" heaven. Within the first 10 minutes we arrived, I'd spent at least 25 dollars... so I can't say that I left with a thick wallet. Not that I was carrying hundreds to begin with, but I try not to bring too much money to these places. Mostly due to how quickly your money can evaporate.

My biggest pet peeve with 'Stir Crazy' is the sheer amount of times you're going to be bothered about tipping. I'm well aware with the strip club business and how important tipping is to the strippers' paychecks. Not to mention the attitude some of the women give you when you simply have run out of cash or simply don't want to tip them. After all, it's not a requirement of the club. Beers however are. There is a two drink minimum and the prices are decent in comparison to other clubs. Another 5 dollars for a beer. All in all, for 15 bucks is all you really need to have a decent time in this club. Unless you're content with having attitude thrown at you from not tipping. I recommend tipping, but don't be overly generous. Singles are fine, and don't tip more than needed. One busty Puerto Rican stripper wanted at least 3 dollars.
