Was in town on business and based on distance from my hotel chose between here and Pure Platinum. From the reviews went to Solid Gold. Got there around 11p. Club was not too full and the dancers I talked to said it was on the dead side. There were small groups of guys at maybe half the tables and I had no problem finding a seat at the bar. Drinks were a nice surprise at about $6 for a very solid Jack and Coke and they gave me no problem when I asked for an ice water with my drink.

Club set up is nice. Very large inside. One main stage with two white grand pianos on either side of the stage that serve as side stages. Lighting is good. Bright enough to see the dancers well, but dim enough to feel comfortable. Bathrooms are nice and clean and there is an attendant that you can tip if you want. He does a neat little snap trick when throwing a towel to dry your hands with and worth a buck to tip.

As I got there, I spied a few dancers I would have liked to get a dance with. I was taken by surprise at exactly 11p the DJ announced 2 for 1 dances and all the dancers went on stage for a showcase to sell the 2 for 1s. I learned later that they do this every hour on the hour. It's good if you can get the dancer you want to get the extra dance, but inconvenient if the dancer you are with gets called to the stage or if some other guy grabs the dancer you want and ties her up for an extra song. Keep an eye on the time if you're looking at someone.
