Club Bacchus is a strange, but interesting experience. One of the other reviewers mentions that it is an old Howard Johnson's, and looks like it from the outside. Well, it looks like it from the inside, too. The old lunch counter has been removed, and the stage has taken its place. The tip rail must almost exactly have the same layout as the old counter. The old kitchen is now the dancer's dressing room and office for the club. The VIP room looks like it was thrown up in one corner. The old lunch booths remain along what was the outside windows. Some couches are on the end opposite the door as the semi-public area. A few round tables fill out the patron area. The men's room is tiny, with the since in a little space between an inner and

outer door. Each dancer performs three numbers. Generally between the first and second number the dancer will remove her top. I was there for a couple hours on a Friday night and one of the dancers decided for her third number to go bottomless -- but I think it was for her boyfriend. This is one of those clubs where most of the dancers make a beeline for regulars (boyfriends?) in the crowd as soon as they leave the state. And the crowd at the tip rail changes dramatically from song to song and dancer to dancer. There is room there for about a dozen patrons and I saw it both full (occasionally) and empty (most of the time) while I was there. Some of the dancers had a good time on the stage and some looked like they were going through the motions. The tip rail is solid enough for the dancers to stand on or lay on and sometimes they will lay on the rail and grab a patron's head in the crook of the dancer's knee and pull the patron's head close to the kitty. Dancers also occasionally flashed the kitty from the stage (showing some jewelry). Semi-public couch dances were quoted at $8, and I saw no takers the whole time I was there. Semi-private couch dances were a little steep at $25 each (or 5 for $100). I had private dances with two dancers and both were high contact, fairly personable and nearly identical. Both used essentially the same moves, with varing degress of

success. But the mileage did not significantly vary. Better mileage on the second dance. A short grind on the lap, a short grind between the breasts, a short grind with the rear end. Repeat, but a little longer. Somewhat monotonous, but ultimately satisfying. And that's really the bottom line. Mixed quality of girls. Nice, if they decide to talk to you. Good contact private dances.
