So I checked out the new club, Jiggles; I went there last night and was pleasantly surprised at how it's looking.

a) The club opens around 5 each day, although they don't sound like they have a firm opening time (that might be due to the school nearby, and wanting to work out a 'good neighbor' situation). The layout's pretty nice, although the decor is very "70's basement". The DJ was flubbing things left and right, but hopefully he'll get his sea legs. :)

b) According to the manager (who was a manager at Honey's for a few years), the license/permit thing is a non-issue trumped up by the press: allegedly the owner got his licenses and permits *before* the zoning laws with the 800-foot rule were enacted, so he should be grandfathered in. This manager is no ditz, so if she's heard correctly the city has no leg to stand on- which may be why the city is acting like "they'll investigate" when really they just hope it blows over and no one cares in a month.
