BT's is a decent little spot...

BT's is a decent little spot in the heart of South Miami, conveniently located in a central point in southern Miami-Dade County. I stopped by on my way to watch a UFC Fight at a buddy's house. I had about an hour to kill, so I showed up at 8 and, depending on how happening the club was, I was considering staying there to watch the fight.

The place was dead. I realize that I didn't exactly go at the busiest time of day on a Saturday, but a lot of the other clubs within several miles would have been more exciting at this time. The stage is located in the center of the club, with tables all around it. The bar was in an odd location off to the side, which is bad because that's where I usually like to post up. To be honest, I prefer the set up where the stage is up against a wall. Parking was annoying. They share a small parking lot in the back with a couple of other places. Otherwise you have to find a meter or maybe even park at the Einsteins next door or the Winn-Dixie half a block away and risk being towed.

I don't know if they have a happy hour, but if they do, I probably just missed it. I think I paid $7 or $8 to get in, which for a Saturday night isn't bad. Their beer selection wasn't good. I had to settle for a Bud Light, which I believe was about the same price as the cover was, which is about a buck or two more than I'm used to paying at a place like this.
