I had been to the Vu before with my friends numerous times. I recently started going with my girlfriend at her request. No problem for me. I have noticed that I tend to get better treatment when bringing a female with me. First off, cover is $10 on the weekends, at night, which is when we frequent the place. Beer is moderately priced with imports and liquor being higher. The dancers range from high quality looks to low quality. Recently, we dealt with a girl that was "new" and was displaying all the trademarks of heroin addiction. Others may be slightly to moderately overweight. However, some of the dancers have higher quality looks. Also, not all of the girls "work" that hard on the stage. Lap dances can range from very good to okay. Depends on the girl. Some tend to be more aggressive the others. If you bring a female with you, you are more likely to get better treatment and attention without the pushiness of "buy me a drink", etc. I don't think my girlfriend and I have ever been asked to purchase a girl a drink, and we have been there at least a dozen times. Also, after our second trip to the club, we were given 4 free passes. That was cool. The layout has not changed for many years but is well maintained and kept clean. The bathrooms were also clean. I have not had an opportunity to try the food, however the popcorn that they offer is usually stale, but warm. Velvet or faux velvet swivel chairs that are common in strip clubs. Carpeting should probably be replaced but you wouldn't know it since you aren't looking at it.
