I was in New Orleans for the weekend and wanted to escape from Bourbon St for a few hours. This club was really easy to get to off of I-10 and the doorman is situated such that he can watch the parking lot at all times. It was a $4 cover I think but I showed him my hotel room key and I got in for free. I gave him a $2 tip and he gave me a ticket for a free beer - worked for me. It was around 7pm on a Saturday night and it wasn't very crowded. There at two bars on either end of the club and stage in the middle but the stage is connected to the bars so the girls walk on the bar after they are on stage and stand in front of you expecting tips. I went up to tip a couple of the better looking ones on stage and they gave me weird looks; I guess you're just supposed to wait at the bar until they come by. Beers were $4 and liquor drinks were $6 so very reasonable. There was a shift change right when I got there and the night shift was decidedly better than the day shift but still not that impressive. Dances are $20 in one room, $30 in another and then there's the VIP. I had a couple of $30 dances which were okay with decent mileage then one of the girls talked me into 30 minutes in the VIP room for $150. This place was like Fort Knox, the bouncer had to unlock the VIP area which he relocked behind us. In the VIP area there were several very private booths and then the door to our booth locked too. It was a very high mileage dance and worth the money. Overall the club wasn't all that impressive but the drink prices are solid and that VIP room dance, while expensive, definitely helped make the trip. It was a hell of a lot more economical that the clubs on Bourbon. I'd go back if I was bored in New Orleans again.
