I hit the Underground for the first time in a couple of years one recent afternoon. Nothing seemed even slightly different from my previous visits; this place is stuck in a time warp. Well, perhaps one thing was different: less cigarette smoke.

The dancers were fine, although few did much when I ventured up to the tip rail. Perhaps that was because they had just opened and the dancers were still warming up.

Based on previous experiences and the reviews on this site, I was interested in trying out the champaign room. I spoke with a couple of dancers and got different reports on what was allowed or not allowed in the room (all agreed "no sex" but beyond that there was no agreement). So I asked the dancer whose report I liked best if she'd like to do a champaign dance. She replied she would, and off we went to the door man, to whom I handed $100. He peeled off $60 and gave it to the dancer. I liked that: good amount for the dancer, cash up front. The dancer's name was Molly, I believe.
