Well, I didn't have to pay...
Well, I didn't have to pay cover. Why? I walked up to the cashier's station pulled out my $20 and stood ready to hand it over. Only the gal on the stool was engrossed in her "smart" phone. I stood for 20 seconds before turning around to the door guy (dressed in captain's outfits here) to see if he saw the situation. He did, and waved me over and told me "You've been waiting there long enough. Go ahead." So I guess I saved $15 there.
Saved another $1 inside on my drink. Waitress has a unique method of bringing a bottle of Bud: walk the entire route from bar to patron balancing bottle on top of her head. I complimented her when she arrived and then told her to just give me $1 back from my $10 (beer was $8.25 a bottle.) Her response was a surprise "Really?! I don't have change." So she makes the looong trek back and then returns dropping entire $1.75 on my table. Okay... I kept the $1 and passed the other .75 off to another waitress saying it had been left on the table.
So, if you're in step with Penthouse Club's intended expense model, you pay $7 for valet, $15 cover, and then the waitresses want $10 per bottled beer order. That's $32 before you even get to the main talent, which sure doesn't work for free!
