They have to spend the first hour of their shift in Chavelas before they are free to roam both HK and Chavelas. Management does this because otherwise Chavelas would be almost completely empty.
If you see a chica you like there, just approach her. You can take her arriba or buy her a drink. If you prefer to drink with her in HK, the supervisor in Chavelas will give her permission to go to HK before her hour is up, since she's with a paying customer.
Usually nobody approaches them in Chavelas though, which is why they sit around bored on their phone.
There's another one super close also. Both are only like a one minute walk. This one is a lot bigger, nicer, cleaner, and more modern. It had closed down for a while, but appears to have re-opened.
This one is located on Coahuila. Left out of Cascadas onto Coahuila, stay straight and cross over Niños Heroes. It's toward the end of the block on Coahuila on the left.
This one is nicer, but the area is a little sketchier. Fine during the day, but I wouldn't recommend going there at night. Should be open 24 hours.
Bargirls also do their laundry here and I've seen HK staff dropping off stuff to be washed.

I think it's called Lavanderia La Superior. You can wash yourself or drop it off and they'll wash for you.
Go left when you exit Cascadas on Coahuila, left again on Niños Heroes, and it's about halfway up the hill on the right side of the street.
Should be open until 9:30 pm every night and you'll usually see a few bargirls coming in and out to drop off laundry or do laundry.
Av. C Niños Héroes 643, Zona Centro, 22000 Tijuana, B.C.
It's the closest one to HK/Cascadas/Rizo.
About 5 or 6 years ago, after they opened the 2nd floor of Azul restaurant in Cascadas, stray bullets from the alley shattered glass in the restaurant on the 2nd floor while people were eating. I know people that were in Azul at the time it happened.
Around that same time, but on another occasion, stray bullets hit the back stairs in Cascadas leading up to the back lobby. The bullet holes in the stairs stayed there for about two weeks and I remember seeing the repair man repairing the stairs when they finally fixed it.
Other incidents like this also, but they don't make the news and HK and other bar employees don't talk about it openly. It's better to keep it off the radar.
Not saying people should avoid TJ. Just be aware that even though cartels are mostly killing themselves and don't target gringos and tourists, stray bullets do happen on occasion and Zona Norte isn't Disneyland.
