Pablo, IMO, that the majority of the Cubans speak passable English to communicate and even make limited small talk. I resorted to Google Translate on my phone for the first one and that made it much easier.

What day/time where you there? I was there on a Friday night recently and the dancers were approaching all customers, even with as packed as it was.
