In a sense that he’s correct about how a black dancer is basically swimming upstream when it comes to working in a mixed club environment. Also the hurdle of even getting hired in that particular club. I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage of us having to work 10 times harder to get half of what some of these other girls get in the club. As well as having to Put 10 times more effort into how we look.

It seems like it’s the same everywhere right now. That’s why I’ve been very hesitant to just pick up and go without planning/doing research. Hopefully more ladies can chime in about the other states. I wanna stay optimistic however it’s a little difficult :/
