Compared to a place like The Red Parrot (which is the closest EP has to the Hi Liter in terms of experience), I'd say that RP is cheaper ($20 VIP dances vs $25) but YMMV. Hi Liter also has more girls.

And before you say "to catch people asking for extras", in most clubs (and especially the Hi Liter) it is the dancer herself who initially offers extras. Why would a club be out to screw over their own dancers? You say yourself that your friend had a discussion with the dancer, she left and then the bouncer kicked your friend out. It is fairly obvious that she went to the bouncer. Like Heellover said, you friend probably said something to the dancer that bothered her, so she went to the bouncer to have him do something about it

One tip to get more out of a dancer: Compliment their music taste. Dancers love it when someone gives them the thumbs up on their choice of song. One time, this girl danced this song by Anthrax (which I love), I went there and complimented her music taste. After the song she came straight to me and gave me the best dance ever. I have applied this several times since, each time with good results. You don't have to even be familiar with the artist. Just Soundhound the song, do a quick Google search to get some deets, and go for it
