This place is horrible! ...
This place is horrible! Do not waste your time or money in this club. I was in town for Mardi Gras on a Saturday night, hitting all the strip clubs on Bourbon St. I stopped in about 5 other clubs on my way up the street (all much better).
I have been wanting to check out the Barely Legal club for a long time since I am a Barely Legal magazine subscriber. This place is NOTHING like the magazine. The only thing barely legal is their operation. What a rip-off!
The cover charge was $10 when all the other joints were free for Mardi Gras. I figured, that the quality of women had to be really good. Wrong! The few dancers they had were all late 20s to early 30s, mostly black, and nothing but "no dance, buy me a drink, lap dancing hustlers" - no pun intended. I talked to a couple of other patrons at the bar - they concluded the same thing that this place was a total disappointment. They had a really pretty girl at the door taking your money (which I thought, wow is this is going to be a great experience), but you cannot see the club until she has your cash and you go through the doors.
I had one quick (overpriced) drink and made my way across the street to a really fun strip club (Lipstick?). I am so disappointed in Barely Legal, I am going to write to Hustler Magazine and ask them to investigate this place. The club gives the magazine a bad name and is really misleading.
