Strippers and Daughters??farmerart - I suppose you could say I'm a newcomer to this "hobby" in terms of making such a sport out of it.
You bring up a good point (and a whole different topic) in mentioning social isolation/awkwardness. I think it's a large factor in what makes clubs so appealing. Many of us are in professions where we have to put on an act, only to come home and have to put on a different kind of show. Whether it's a nagging wife or pretending mommy and daddy still love each other in front of the kids (which only gets harder as they get older) it can amount to constant pressure. Maybe it makes me a sexist pig, but it makes the idea of naked young women who would "looooove" to sit on my lap very appealing. I know I've seen others on the board make comments about extreme shyness when it comes to dealing with women, or even just wanting to be someone else for a few hours.
I try to be open-minded and not rule out one reason for frequenting strip clubs just because it's not my own personal reason. I try to remember the same about dancers, even though the stereotypes can be pretty consistent. (I would guess the stereotypes about us men are probably are equally predictable!)
So justification aside (I don't really feel like I or anyone else necessarily needs a justification), it does leave me wondering why many of us would flip shit if we found out our 'little angels' worked at a titty bar.
Ha, this does remind me of some comedian I heard in passing once, though! Something along the lines of: "fathers - your only job in life is to keep that baby off the pole!"

Strippers and Daughters??stiletto25 - I hope nothing I said offended you...I think too often it's easy (for both dancers and the men who come to see them) to see things in black and white. We men go on and on about how worthless/scheming all these bitches are, but then we become obsessed with an ATF almost instantaneously. I can imagine that dancers would see their "customers" in a similar way.
What are your honest thoughts on men who buy girls the age of their own daughters? To me, as long as we all remember that it's a business exchange/fantasy instead of getting caught up with plans to leave our current lives and run away together, things will go smoothly. But after this weekend I can't help but admit that my daughter would probably be fairly disgusted by the thought of her father partaking of girls her own age. And it made me think that this topic has to have come up in the dressing rooms, considering how common it is for their to be a large age gap.
Don't anyone think I'm a saint here to change from my wicked ways, far from it ;D. But these thoughts came up, so I like to think them through.

Strippers and Daughters??motorhead - good point, considering most don't even know who their BABY daddies are...
zipman68 - hey, the fact that it's in my name should show that I've embraced it plenty ;D. I was just mildly setback by the idea of how many of these college strippers might potentially invade my real life through the mutual connection of my daughter. That would be all around mortifying for everyone not to mention potentially life-altering, depending on how my wife reacted.
I know, I know...time to pick another nearby town and cover my tracks better. And for those of you bachelors out there who think us old married guys should just get a divorce and live freely, spare me the opinion as it's not that simple.
I didn't mean to seem so emotional about it, I really did just find it slightly disturbing and provoking large amounts of curiosity. I thought "Somebody out there has gotta have some good stories about this shit that aren't just erotic writings!" and figured I'd see if anyone here had some stories to help me laugh it off. While I'm pretty good at detaching myself from SS, I do care about my own family and simply found it a little unsettling in that context.
