wow, I stayed away from downtown that weekend but I had heard of the higher prices from some dancers prior to SB Sunday,. oh well, supply and demand I guess.

FS in MN isn't very likely (ITC) to happen but if you spend enough you can get very close and not just @ Spearmint. Good review!

ask the waitress when you grab a drink or ask the bartender and they will be happy to let the dancer know you are looking for a dance. You do get a lot of guys who go in for cheap beer but don't get dances.

I really wish this could be true, 1st review about real extras in MN is hard to believe. I'm guessing this would have been in the 15 minute area but still hard to believe on a Thursday night.

I think you are talking about the old Skyway lounge. Then it turned into the Lure Show club and finally now Spearmint Rhinos.

its hard to say with this place, it should be 10 to get in, 12 for the bottomless non alcoholic drink, 20 per booth dance and 90 (100) for 3 song bed dance.
I have been there numerous times and each time the prices can change and depending on the ROB it might not be for the best.

pretty accurate description of dancers and club, DG is normally slow until after bar close since its a non alcoholic bar and you get free entrance with a Sneaky Petes stamp (DG\VU own Sneakys). After midnight it starts to get packed and after 2 its almost standing room only some nights.
Booth dances had been 20 bucks the last time I was there and bed dances are 100, you do get more in the bed but the up sell is crazy. You want to be careful as they do have some ROBs and they do cut their songs short.

I will have to agree, for whatever reason some of the more attractive dancers have left.
Maybe downtown is pulling them out or something else happened but you are correct. It could be with summer being really slow some decided to move on but with Fall coming most clubs start to pick up and lets hope the talent does too.

Ive been to the KOD a few times and the OP is correct about Simone and Tara, no touch club but some of the dancers do try their best to give you a good dance. Thanks for the info.

yeah, kinda spot on. The problem with the afternoon 1$ taps from 3:30 - 5:30 is a lot of guys will go for the good price on beer and watch. Ive asked the question everyone wonders, why don't the dancers cover the room better. The answer in the past is a lot of guys just want the 1$ beers.
I would recommend just grabbing one of the dancers when they stand by the bar or back wall and ask for a dance. They are happy to take your money.

Good review and you are correct, the issue with the top 10 is its rating system does not measure the whole US market just the local clubs in comparison. In MN, the Rhino is one of the better clubs but compared to Detroit, Dallas, Phoenix, etc and mileage,. not so much.

Good info on the ROB, I didn't think they had private rooms at the Seville so that may have been another lie they gave you but maybe they added them since i had been there last.

they will scan\record everyones ID when you go in (unless you are a regular that they wave in), The advantage of the KOD is the 10$ floor dances and full nude with Alcohol (plus better looking dancers). Its certainly not the best for contact and you get more contact in the back with VIP but its not like downtown but downtown isn't 185 for 30 minutes in VIP either.

its hard to say about DG anymore, the hustle is getting way out of control. I still enjoy the club but lately I have found the dancers will talk about the 500 or 1000 dollar "better dance" when they are giving you a 3 for 100 bed dance.
I would recommend the Rhino the next time if you can (just down the street), some YMMV with the VIP but it can be as good as DG for less (compared to their upsell pricing.

Yeah, I've used the CC there before too, not always the best idea. I was there a couple weeks ago and the up sell was crazy, I used to really like this club but 500 and 1000 for bed dances might as well go to the Rhino or the Downtown for that, even the Choice would be better.

yep, Ive stopped drinking tap beer at the KOD too and your spot on about the dancers not always coming out of the back after their stage dances.

Yep, seems about right. I hate going on Fri Sat because of crowds and few available dancers. You can save money this way but not as fun.

I stopped by their first Saturday open and it was 8 bucks to get in too, it was crowded so we left but sounds like a good time. Ill have to go back.

I agree, some of the dancers will constantly walk the room but a lot just sit in the back and only make the rounds a couple times. On nights like that i just sit at the stage and give my 2 bucks a song until i leave.
