I visited Spearmint Rhino on it's eleventh day of business. If it stays this good, it's going to be very very hard to choose to go anywhere else.
It advertises three floors, but I only had a look around two of them, the main floor and mezzanine. When you walk in there's a small, low stage on your right with no chairs, so it feels like the girl is just there dancing with you. It is a wonderful first impression. The barmaids and waitresses are beautiful, and wearing great outfits. When I arrived at 8:00 p.m. on a Monday and during a Twins game, the cover was $8.00. It was happy hour, which got me a 16 oz Surly Furious (beer) for only $3.75. That's cheaper than any regular bar downtown.
The light level is medium in the main rooms. Obviously the brand new furniture is perfect, but they were working hard to keep everything clean. The main stage had about 20 chairs around it, but they was almost always empty when I was there. The 15 or so small tables on the main floor were about half filled, but I expect it filled up after the Twins game ended. Nobody was upstairs, which had another 25 or so tables.
