There's nothing wrong with Golden Nugget. But there's nothing spectacular about it either. Even in terms of day shifts there are a number of dancers working, it's a full bar and the employees there have been perfectly affable the times that I've been there. The private dance option is a little high, but not ludicrously so (10 house plus 20/song). I've only ever been there when the one smallish front stage is in use, but there are multiple stages I presume get used in the evening. On the whole, it's a good outing and a perfectly acceptable club, but not anything I would go out of my way to go to.

Paid a visit here recently. Were two girls on shift not dancing. One of them who had Asian features came up to say hi. Was being flirty and offered a trip to VIP. Now, it should be noted that I didn't ask for nor expected anything other than dance for the time. That said, it still manage to go beneath expectations. Spent 2/3 of the time still clothed, so the whole thing was a covered lap dance for what a four song topless dance would cost at other places. Im not even complaining as much as I am advising that it's vital in this place to be clear with your expectations BEFORE getting off the stool. I think ultimately there are better options in the area but investing wisely here will probably pay off.

Club spent way more money on the interior than the exterior. Pleasantly surprised that there were six dancers on dayshift, which was more than what I expected by half. Standard three song drill, beer is particularly cheap by even bar standards, let alone strip clubs. Stripper-hot to plain ratio was about 1:1, which was ALSO better than what I expected. Lap area is more of a three-wall cordoned area more than it is a hidey-hole but I suspect YMMV. Chairs with arms for laps are a blight but that's all they had. On the whole, enjoyable couple hours, left with cash and I would return.

Was here in the afternoon. Was basically told by the lone dancer on duty that the dayshift was kind of a wasteland. Although it is worth noting what appeared to be a second dancer was just arriving as I was leaving around 430. But really, anything from when the club opens at 230 until probably after 5 is a waste of a field trip. Not that many dayshifts in the Tampa Bay area are great shakes, but there's more going on elsewhere. The drinks are ridiculously low-priced, though, so it serves a purpose as a dollar-wells bar during the day even if it doesn't serve a purpose as daytime adult entertainment.

The firat thing I noticed is that the stage layout was a little awkward. The bar is a bit away from the stage and the tables are back towards the wall, but there is a LOT of rail seating, which makes sense since the stage itself was larger than average. At about 1 in the afternoon there were 3-4 dancers and they were actually stage-active, which was welcoming and not something you always see in the smaller clubs in Pinellas on dayshift. The one thing that struck me after being there a while is that there was far less hustle than I had anticipated. Part of that might have had to do with the fact that there were other patrons who were obvious regulars. Laps are done in one semi-open area towrds the back, which is not connected to the VIP area, which is this elongated isolated enclosed chamber between the dressing room and the club itself. YMMV, but my experience was no upsell for the 15 minutes I went in for by a girl next door type. It just took a while to get to the point where going to the VIP was offered, since either the regulars were offerred first or they try to determine beforehand who is safe to approach and who isn't. On the whole, the stage dances were very good by Pinellas standards and the back was good by anyone's. Would reccomend based on my experience and would go back.

Even in the evening, not a place where a lot happens. Anything resembling a dance, save for brief moments where dancers actually feel compelled to stage dance, appears to be an all or nothing proposition. If you are a person who likes stage dances, this may not be not a place for you. Club was run a little too laid back almost to the point of apathy. Only got one lap dance (dancer was fine, cubicle area was uncomfortable), so I can't speak to the Vip level stuff. Girls were an across the board mix of ethnicity and size, which has changed since the Mardi Gras era and while there's still some curvy girls, it's no longer niche-aiming. Probably more likely to go across the street to Vegas than to return here.

This place is a mixed bag, mostly because there's a heavy turnover to this club particularly on dayshift. So if you're a day person it's particularly difficult to establish any kind of rapport if two weeks later that dancer is gone. Day value for dances (prepaid, which seems to be a growing trend in Pinellas) is good and drinks are reasonable and with this club more than most stage activity only seems to start in the evening, so during the day it's just a place to get private dances, period.

Was not a good day and felt like a wasted trip. When I got there at 4pm for a place that opened at noon there was one dancer and for whatever reason vanished about an hour later, never to return. Which left the club to scramble and encourage the cute girl bartender to do a (PG-rated) stage dance that would have been cute on any other day. Drinks were at HH prices, so there was that, but everything else about the trip was a misfire. Hoping this was just a one-time incident because in fairness this hasnt previously happened

Good central location, not much else going for it. I am not a fan of places where the impetus seems to be to get as much money from the customer as possible because there's a possibility that person might not come back. It's shortsighted. In my case it was a situation where the dancer decided to make a deal under the table and not pay the club itself for dances that it would be beneficial. It wasnt as the rules were magically enforced. Ultimately i chalked it up as a lesson and moved on. Despite it being the only club in the downtown area, there are better places within 20 minutes that do better business.

Visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday. I expect clubs to be laid-back in the afternoon but for better or for worse, VS is *really* laid back on a Saturday afternoon. The $1 wells are a nice draw, but there were two dancers there and only one that was working the stage. And it wasn't as if I was the only one there at the time, as there were about 5-6 patrons. Have been here in the evening and it has been decidedly more active, and I wasn't necessarily expecting THAT level of activity, but I was at least expecting something. It was almost as if the club was open because it had to be, not because it wanted to be. I'd go back, just not during the day.

There were literally two dancers on shift to match the two customers- including myself- that were in there around 3:30-ish. This may have been because of that, but literally the two dancers would take turns on stage, not remove a stitch and then walk off. Mind you, the last time I was there they did go topless and with about as many patrons, so It's too small a sample size either way to come to a conclusion. Just be warned that if it's slow, there may not be a lot of reasons to stay and unlike some clubs, there isn't much benefit to being one of two patrons other than non-competition, which isn't enough of an incentive to make me want to come back. If this is how the club is going to be when it's this slow, I would prefer to go somewhere with a better stage revue. The sad thing is that this club-- as people including myself-- have stated repeatedly, is capable of being better than it is. So I will probably give TC one more shot before writing it off for good.

Definitely more going on during this visit than the last time I was there and NOTHING was going on. One thing: This club has settled into a niche market of hiring BBW dancers, the range of which is from a little curvy to large and in charge. Just be aware of that beforehand if this isn't your thing. But on the whole, the club was better organized than I remember from last year and also everyone was nice and not surly, which I can't say for all clubs in Pinellas. Did not partake in anything other than one private dance that did not involve toplessness so I can't vouch for anything else here. Would return and would reccomend but only for those that have a certain type. If you don't, this place probably isn't for you.

Better than most places in the immediate area but not a total dive. Bare-assed pictures on the outside right in front of a bus stop, which seems to be asking for trouble. It's hard to get in and out of but it's definitely not a bikini bar. The girls are about 5-6s and most of them will be exceedingly up front in one way or another really fast. Lap room is about 30 and back room bidding starts at about 50 but that's just the house fee. Would go back, but here more than anywhere else, don't go for the first thing that comes along because you will get pounced almost immediately

Place has a lot of potential. Although the dayshift was a little light. If you get there at the wrong time, expect very little stage dancing. Pastie, but at least it's a step up from bikini. The main thing I noticed --at least the day I was there -- was that there are no edited songs. So thus a dance is actually worth the $25 they charge. Lap room is off to the side and semi-private, and boasts glowing cubes. No, I'm not kidding. Glowing cubes are part of the LSU presentation. Toplessness --at least in my case-- was not. LD good but not great although the place has a lot more charm than some of the nearby places. Hasn't reached its ceiling yet but I think it has a chance. Had a good enough time that I would definitely go back.

It's not a bad hidey hole as long as you're used to places on the lower end. I've certainly seen worse. Driving on 19 it's easy to miss if you're driving south. It's easier to see heading north. This is a place that it's not hard to get into trouble in. The dancers run the gamut from on their last legs to what are you doing here. Sometimes within the same 15 minute block. No real VIP to speak of, just per song a la cart in the well-hidden LD area. Compared to the rest of Hudson the dance prices are downright reasonable. Plus there's no other room to have to pay into. And there really isn't any need.

It is what it is, which is one of Tampa's b-list clubs. It's not even on the high end when you just rank it against clubs on its level because at least some of the other clubs on its level on both sides of the water are a little more price-proportionate. This is low-end priced in the medium end. For a place that looka genetically designed to.be a watering hole the drinks were a little over par price-wise and dancers were not as prevelant as they should have been and I haven't been here enough to know if it was a bad day or not. Didn't seem like a lot of incentive to return

Not advisable to go during daylight. Place opens at five but if you get there around five the place will pick up about an hour and a half after you get there. If honorable lone patron is your thing, great. It'll give you the inside track when there's more than two dancers. I should in all fairness point out that this isn't a bad little place so long as it's your last visit on the US 19 tour of shame, just so long as it isn't the first. When the club is on, the dances and dancers are decent and the managers are perfectly affable. Not dive bar affable, but actually decent. I understand why there isn't a full dayshift but at the very least there should be more effort to have something going on when it opens. That said, will be back. I just know to pick arrival time better.

You almost get the feeling that this club is still trying to find its way. Trying to sell themselves as a BBW niche club ghastly been scaled back (the girls are to a large extent curvy but not full on large). They tried to expand to a day shift, which resulted in one bikini clad girl who doubled as a bartender the time I was there in the afternoon but have since gone back to opening at 8. The decor with the pink muraled walls with a small circle Booth stage work for such a small place. The fact that it's small and a bikini place primarily (there's VIP haggling, but it's low) makes it come off like a more spruced up version of Starlite in Tampa. Ultimately it's going to need to figure out if it wants to be Starlite or Oasis. They can still go either way, but it doesn't seem like the only thing they need to decide on a direction on. For the full blown GC experience, Vegas is across the street. This is instead a little more laid back and blue collar

Definitely an Old Florida bar. The place is dark and small, and there are times where the stage dancing is more part of the scenery than the reason you're there. But it also has a really good atmosphere. There isn't a high amount of hustle, but it's there if you want it. Lap area isn't much to speak of, just a collection of chairs in a half-partitioned off area where in the right spot you can see the bar and is patrons while a dance is in progress. Topless or not topless varied from dancer to dancer, as do dance prices.

I had a really good time here. The stage setup is really good with its x-shape, but there isn't a lot in the way of table seating. Worst-looking girl there was about a 7, which bodes well for their Friday lineup. Money-wise it's not backbreaking, but I got the impression that the girls (at least the ones I got dances from) would almost rather make deals in the regular dance room than hack up their money in the VIP section. As per always it depends on the who and the when, but that was at least my experience. Would go back.

I was not really enamored with this place. There are regulars clubs, and then there's regulars clubs to the nth degree. Physically, the place is clean with nice seats around the perimeter, which the girls seemed content to sit in as much as anything else. Maybe I caught it on a bad Friday night, but it wasn't like I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be doing (tipping) and there was only the most perfuntory of thank yous and no approach whatsoever. Half were with tables and the other half weren't doing much at all. Stayed about 45 minutes and left for further north Pasco and was all the wiser for it.

Not a great experience. Arrived in early afternoon around 1:30, which is early but it shouldn't have been TOO early. There was no talent there when I got there and the ones who did show up seemed more interested in a pow-wow that actually working. The club itself was of the black and pink neon motif, but there is a nice big-screen. It gave me something to watch while dances weren't happening. Kind of a waste of a free afternoon, and I couldn't tell you if the club is any good except to say don't go before 3 pm. because I saw exactly one round of stage dancing before having to leave. Probably will not be back.

Visited here after a trip to another club in Pasco left me a little bit cold, but that's for another review. I came here because in my experience the girls have always been at least decent here. The Friday night roster was probably the Tuesday afternoon talent pool for a high-end place in Tampa, but for the night, it didn't matter. For those who haven't been there in a while, they have tiered their dances. Topless is up to 20 and 25 and are also offering full nude for 40, because that's what all the cool kids in North Pasco are doing these days. Also a VIP room, which isn't really a room so much as a large area with a curtain, which provides only a minimum of privacy if all one would have to do is pull the curtain. But it was intimated that it was worth my while, I just didn't feel it was private enough. But on the whole not a bad visit.
