I'm not really a newbie but still sometime baffled by club "etiquette." It amazes me that guys will sit and wait a long time for a dancer to come over to their table. I always use your advice to simply ask for a dance and have never been turned down. But I suspect that a lot of the guys who sit and wait have no intention of spending much money on dances.
