Outside the club is pretty safe. From 8:30 on, there are usually a bunch of dancers and guys and the security guy hanging outside on the porch and on the sidewalk. Also all day, any dancer that wants to take a smoke break to smoke the substance of her choosing hangs out on the sidewalk or nearby. Also it's not a hard close...dancers will start getting dressed, etc. It winds down slowly, and the owner will turn off the jukebox at least 15 minutes before he leaves. Also, the club upstairs, Outer Space, usually stays open after La Pearl closes--there is new ownership of Outer Space recently, I don't know if this has changed.

Just ask the girls for the after hours spots. They might even ask you for a ride, which is good because you might have trouble getting in if you don't know someone.

I forgot to mention that Mae gives one hell of a back rub at the bar! Same price as a dance: $5 per song.

Great news! I think they had been $5 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for a while but glad to hear they're back everyday.

Babydoll tried to overcharge me for a dance and I wouldn't let her do it. I told her to have me thrown out (knew that wouldn't happen). She eventually shut up and left. I'm never giving her another dollar again.
