The Social Security system is actuarially sound until 2050. No less an alarmist than Prof. Paul Krugman has, neverthelss, had nothing but assuring things to say about it. The idea that Hispanics will destroy the system is thinly veiled fear of the other, which has been present since people started coming to this country.
