Well as one who remembers this place when it was off the hook, it saddens me to announce that Penthouse Philadelphia is boarded up and appears done for good. I stopped by last week and it was all fenced up and closed. Called the number - disconnected. Just never the same after the bust a few years ago - it was a really nice place inside but I guess the questionable location and failure to recover quickly after their law enforcement issues finally did them in.

This club looks like it's on the rise again. I attended this past Saturday. They were also showing the paquiao vs broner fight so it was packed. Admission was 20-25 I forget. I assume because of the fight. The girls were all pleasing on the eye, with a variety of women but no super thick women. Talent varied amongst the girls. I believe this club to be on the rise again because one of the girls I talked to said penthouse is a corporate club and that corporate is taking over again. Anyways the club is huge, it's a 2 story club. Their poles go from stage to ceiling and they have motercycles and hoops that hang from the ceiling for the girls to dance on. Which is nice because you don't get to see that at every club. The girls were a little pushy for you to spend but maybe that was because it was a busy night. Overall a good experience, even the bartenders and bottle girls were beautiful and friendly. And I heard very good things about the private rooms at this club. Will give that a shot next time and Will be returning after my last visit.

Place is huge. Really high ceilings. Didn’t park in lot as I didn’t want to pay for parking. 20 to get in which was steep. Once inside place was Smokey and bathroom attendants were annoying. All the hallmarks of a club trying to be high end (e.g. shot girls, massage girls, etc). Girls were decent. 3 song sets. Only a couple where I was really waiting for the set to end. Most black/Latin types. Most decent enough. Club clientele seemed to mirror the girls. I didn’t get any dances so can’t speak to that aspect of it but not a bad place to kill a couple hours with friends.

As soon as you enter penthouse, you feel as if you are in a really nice spot. It is a big place tucked away in north philly. The people at the door are nice and welcoming. There are free matches with "penthouse" on them. Inside, the DJ plays a variety of music. The music is not too loud to have a conversation with a girl. It is a huge place with 2 floors. There are motorcycles attached to the ceiling. There is a bar upstairs along with the VIP and dance rooms. However this bar is usually only open on weekends. There is a bar downstairs along with plenty of tables and stage seating. It is a very roomy area. There is always a variety of girls of different ethnicities. However on this particular night, there were about 10 girls just sitting around the bar and no customers around. This was a bit surprising for a friday night. Some of the girls are great dancers, some are novices. The girls I spoke to were very friendly. Dances are $30 for one song. The management used to have special nights each week with different events like dress up and newbie night. It seems like they have new management and removed these events. The club would benefit from having these events back. Overall the prices and value are reasonable for philly. The dance room is pretty nice, not a seedy place with dirty couches like other places. Everything is clean here and there is even a pole in the dance room too. I would come back on a night with more of a crowd and more enthusiasm from the girls such as a friday or saturday night.

Made a quick visit to the establishment of Penthouse Club in the city of Philadelphia. Despite it being day-time, there were several decent looking strippers to choose from at the club. The vibe was a bit low key. After talking to a few friendly gals, I decided to take one up the stairs for a lap dance. She gave a good grind and was a bit handsy, but no significant mileage was attained. I opted for a second one, and overall appreciated her pleasant demeanor. In general, although drinks at the bar were a bit expensive, I would consider making a trip back to see the night crew, as I enjoyed my daytime trip to Penthouse.

I haven't been there for 6 weeks because the last time I was there, I would sit there for 30 minutes at a time with no dancers. I thought I would give it another chance and was sadly disappointed to see that the same thing happened. When you talk to staff, they say that they don't have dancers because there are no customers until 9pm. When you talk to the customers, they say that we don't go because there are no dancers. Also, if you go after 7, the Penthouse has a cover charge that is double what almost every other club in the area charges, and they are even more than the all nude clubs who can't make up the difference with liquor. To top it off, the quality of the dancers has taken a nose dive over the last six months, I used to go there and be willing to pay the $20 cover because the dancers were amazing... not any more. Last night, there were only two that I would even consider above average. The turnover is high because the girls say that management treats them poorly. Too bad, because the atmosphere in the Penthouse is extraordinary and I used to love to go there and get lost and mingle with amazing looking women.

I visited for the happy hour shift on a Wednesday afternoon; had some time to kill until rush hour was over. When I walked in the front, you first notice the beautiful red carpet and palace feel. I was greeted by a beautiful hostess. I had one of those comp cards for free entrance. I walked in and it was just stunning, gave me a Vegas gentlemen’s Club vibe. The bar is near the entrance, it was where the gentleman chose to sit... I guess because it was a slower shift and it’s a large club it made sense to stay close to the watering hole. I immediately noticed three dancers near the staircase. Two looked Hispanic..one was a blonde with short hair. The blonde and the Hispanic girl with highlights were gorgeous...both thin, long curly hair, full makeup and lingerie (the blonde had amazing boobs)...the other Hispanic girl wasn’t my type...she was a bit on the heavier side...but hey, everyone has their cup of tea, right ? I ordered an Apple martini from the barmaid....it was perfect! She didn’t forget the garnish either...I hate when they do that. The music was very slow and mellow. I heard a nice mix the entire time I was there....ranging from soft rock to r&b. The blonde girl approached me and asked how was my day, asked my name then asked if I wanted a vip dance...I declined because she had glitter on and I was wearing all black. I ordered another drink, this time a peach Long Island. The Hispanic girl that I wasn’t attracted to approached me...she had a very nice perfume and a great personality. We chatted for a bit, laughed about the weather changes...and then she asked me for a dance...I declined but I did tip her a $10 bill. I paid my tab and I left. I want to try the menu soon, I’ll def be returning.

Arrived at 10 pm on a Thursday night. This was our final stop for the day. There is a large parking lot, but $8 for valet. Opted to park in street, if you do the same just make sure no hidden/small no parking signs. Bouncer said towing could be expensive. Also if using Waze for directions, put in actual club address otherwise you will be misdirected. $10 cover to get in. Much different vibe here than other clubs visited today (Delilah's, Cheerleaders & Club Risque). I had been here about 5 years ago. Layout is the same. Probably about a dozen dancers, a mix of American, Spanish and WOC. Nothing spectacular and nothing terrible (best girls on trip were at Delilahs). Some thin and some average. Sat at a cocktail table away from the stage. Not approached by any dancers. Got to see the Harley show. There are 2 Harley's suspended from the ceiling above the stage which get lowered. Dancers mount the bikes and "dance" while sitting on the bikes which are raised above the stage a few feet. Didn't really do anything for me, but maybe for those bikers out there.... Overall an interesting trip to Philly which may be repeated next year. This was really a side trip from our convention visit in AC.

So I arrived around 8pm on a Wednesday and the place was dead. At the time they had 1 or 2 girls dancing (but to be honest - they just were not even close to the quality of dancers I have seen at other Penthouse clubs). So I waited a few hours and the talent went downhill fast. It became even worse and the RAP music got louder. If you have visited other PH clubs around the country, do not expect the same type of atmosphere at this club. I am off to try other clubs in the area. PS - Never even or wanted a dance....Went home with a full wallet.

I stopped in after a visit to Delilah's where I'd got my drink on and left satisfied. If you leave Delilah's in order to get on 95 North these days the detour from Delaware Ave literally has you go by Penthouse. So I thought I would stop in. Got to park in their lot for free. Valet starts at 6 or so. One door girl, one bartender, four dancers, couple other customers. That was about it. Greeted by a friendly blonde, tattooed dancer. As with the other 3 girls they were in shape and attractive. No 10s, 7-8 range. Improvement from my last visit maybe 9 months ago. This girl said I looked familiar but I'm pretty sure I'd never met her. Girl is affectionate and I land up doing 3 songs. Decent time. Of course she wants a tip at the end. Head back downstairs. I'm drinking sodas as I'd had my fill of alcohol. Approached by another girl. She looked familiar. We chat and she tells me she's good at her job. Code. Yes she is. Left happy after two songs plus tip.

I ended up visiting the Penthouse club on a Wednesday afternoon around 3pm and was blown away with the interior of the club. This place is huge, very nice inside but was mostly empty. I suppose that can be expected on a weekday afternoon, but even the main stage did not have anyone dancing in the beginning. Later on, they did manage to have at least one girl up there. There were about 6 - 8 patrons including me and all sat around the bar which is the first thing you will see when you walk in. Much has been said about the layout so I will skip details, but basically two levels, very plush inside and two bars, one at every level. Their lapdance setups and private rooms are on the 2nd level. Good thing is they have an elevator :) So when I entered, there were maybe 1 or 2 dancers mingling with the patrons, but after about 20 mins or so, 3 - 4 girls came out and one of them would always be on the main stage while others hung out at the bar etc What surprised me though was the quality of the girls, they were all high 8s and coincidentally all of them were all natural (which I like). I got dances from a couple of them, their lap dance set up consists of semi private couches which have curtains for privacy and the 2nd level was darker. Dances were great for me, specially with a White mid 20s spinner (dont recall her name) but she had short hair and a toned body. Full on touching, groping and maybe even a little extra. But I seriously think YMMV. I will definitely recommend going there specially, if you are looking to go to a club early evening, like I said I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of girls even during these dead hours, but I wish they have more dancers on staff during weekdays specially before 6pm. Has to be one of the nicest clubs in Philly though, very well maintained.

INCREASINGLY dangerous?? Did you hear that one of their own shotgirls was assaulted and robbed around midnite on Saturday in June, 2017 in main floor ladies restroom by two African American females who followed her in? And could this not just as easily have happened to a patron, too? Reportedly, no restroom attendant on duty even on Saturday nite and no nearby security. Why? Was no one monitoring hall cameras? Given history at this location, for example, reported shooting at adjacent after hours club, must wonder. Reportedly, owners did not call popo although perps were ID-ed and had returned with loot to their table in the club. Instead, were reportedly merely asked to leave club! If true, then isn't that virtually an invitation to all thugs to return, lurk and look for next solo female to enter the restroom before striking again? Has this club changed radically?
