Ads on tables say half-price food and beer from 11:30-6pm everyday! I've always liked this place. It's small, but slightly upscale. There were a couple of open tables despite it being primetime for my visit (11pm-1:30am.) So it wasn't overcrowded. $20 cover, but here that includes one's first two drinks. $6 mandatory valet ... good choice because two brunette dancers were ready to brawl when I left, and if their aim is lousy with the platform shoes they could really dent the cars. So the valet staff were limiting them to trash talking ("Go f*ck someone for $50, bitch!!!" and "Go gain some more weight!!!") Anyways, the dancers here were much more social than the Penthouse Club. And really comparable looks wise. So eventhough aggregate in looks are a 6, their outgoing efforts gets Tycoon's dancers a bump by a notch. On this night Tycoon's had 3 8s working, which was better than Penthouse! I ultimately got an energized 7 who could really work it on stage and said she's going to model for the Detroit auto show for which she'll get $10k for 2 weeks of work. Stripper stuff, who knows? While we were back in the VIP ($20 for screened off cubicle for however long you're in there with a dancer), the bouncer flipped on the lights and yelled "Raid! Raid! Grab your stuff and get out!!!" Jesus! We hurriedly got dressed and made for the bar. I guess more street-wise guys would've used the opportunity to run out the door as the bill hadn't been paid yet. Instead she and I hung at the bar. Two minutes later the bouncer gave the all clear and we were let back into the VIP. This club can be hit and miss, but it's always had appeal to me. P.S. Don't fall for the shot girl sales pitch "If you buy a shot from me I'll give you a dance." At my VIP collaborator's request I bought one for her, but told her to get the attractive blonde who gave me the dance pitch earlier. Well, here's how it played out: shot girl says "I'll have to check with my manager to see if it's okay." Turns out it's never okay, because they're hired to sell shots, not dance. So if you get that pitch here, give shot girl the thumbs down. P.P.S. Per dance charge at Penthouse is $25. At Tycoon's, some gals may try to charge $25, but it's really $20 because you pay $20 upfront for the cubicle.

A buddy and I stopped in on a Saturday night. We paid the $20 cover which got us 2 beers. There were plenty of girls, some OK, some not. But not a single girl stopped by to talk and/or ask us for a dance. And what's more, it didn't seem like anybody else was getting dances either! The girls were just sitting in the chairs smoking cigarettes and drinking beer between their stints on stage! What a waste of time and money.

I like this club, or should I say, really want to like this club. It's smallish, intimate, has a slightly upscale look and feel. It's not too expensive. But, you have to pay to enter the VIP (one of my pet peeves). The dancers, however, are this club's downfall. Wasn't even very interested in lappers without hot dancers around. Maybe if they hire some 7's or 8's (not even asking for 9's), I would be interested. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon. Coliseum blows this place away.

Stopped in around 7:30 on a Friday. Very disappointing. There were 7-8 dancers, none better than a 4 on a 1-10 scale. The shot girls and waitresses outnumbered the dancers 2 to 1. They were all hot too. If they could get the waitresses and dancers to reverse roles, this place would be ok. Ended up being a total waste of time. Unless they get better dancers, this place has no business being open. Drink prices are higher than the average club too.

I was at Tycoon's a few months ago and am contenplating going back. But there are a few things that are stopping me. The first one is the lack of dancers. It seems the pretty ones are always sitting down in their own little world. The second thing that troubles me is the lack of partons in the club. For lunch time there should have been a few more. On the up side, the interior of the club is nice. It is not run down, but at the same time not as nice at the Coliseum down the street. They have a private VIP area, where some booths have curtains and some do not. I Think the club just needs more tallent. Once that is done, i think maybe this club might be worth going to.

Stop in use to hang here years ago.bur stop going there after this BS went to the Dollar store in back of the bar and not thinking drop stuff in my car and walk in the bar so the park attendant when to the manager and bitch so they raised hell about me not paying for parking so I paid and left the place. Bar person added $4.00 to my drink the next time I went there that is BS oh the food is ok.

Tycoons used to be on my regular tour, but as quality declined so did my interest. Curiousity prompted me to return to check out the day shift on Thursday, August 20, 2009. Lame. All of the dancers were seated at the bar, taking up all of the available seats. The entering patron, me, could not get seated at the bar. Upon getting a seat in a booth, I ordered a light lunch which took forever to arrive. And the place was not crowded, just slow service. The dancers are not youngsters and age is showing in the faces, hips and thighs. One or two hot MILFS cannot carry the whole club. The manager, Larry, sits in a booth partying with the dancers instead of making sure the customers are comfortable. While the dancers may be "agreeable" and aggressive, very few are attractive and some are downright ugly. (How did she get hired?) Entry into the VIP costs $10.00. Then you have to pay the dancer who will whine and demand a tip. Whining about money is common in this club. It must be a BFOQ, but is sure a downer. If my ATF was not a dancer here, I doubt if I would return.

Okay, I'm rapidly becoming a Tycoon's whore... Like the smaller size, yet somewhat upscale aspect to this club. That and the fact it's becoming readily apparent the gals will "wheel and deal" if it looks like it will be a slow night and/or is in fact a slow night. The slow nights seem to be weekday nights other than Fridays. My last visit was on a Friday and the place was pretty packed. Result then: not many deals to be had. But on a Thursday night or the recent Wednesday night I attended were both examples of slow times at the place. I did hang with a gal I had met on a previous occasion but wasn't feeling very amorous; she kept dropping her price for "mischief in the back", but I just wasn't in the mood. Of all things I did wind up tipping her $20 to help her make her bar ($40 on this night I believe.) That's twice now I could've been quite the opportunist yet wound up giving money away out of chivalry. Sheesh.

I liked this place. Nicer than Bogart's and Henry's, not as fancy as Flight Club and Penthouse though closer to the latter two. Good amount of space, and the right amount of gals for it. VIP dance area required $10 entrance fee for an open cubicle and $20 for one with a curtain. Probably most extras available here though it depends upon each girl and what's negotiated. I was also in on the night before, Thursday, and it was DEAD. The manager suggested for cover whatever I could spare for the tip jar for his door gal. NEVER had that happen anyplace before. I had arrived at 12:30am and the place was to close at 2am. There was maybe 10 guys in the place and 15-20 dancers. I was solicited by several dancers and just wasn't feeling that amorous (in truth I had wandered down 8 Mile checking places out.) A beautiful, single mom had sat down next to me and we chewed the rag for 10 minutes. Finally I told her I had a mere $60 left and she kept saying "we can work something out." She then confided she had made $4 thus far, and that the bar fee was to be $50. I guess I should've been more of an opportunist, but instead I reached into my big bankroll and gave her my remaining singles, another $4. She laughed but accepted it. Sure it would've been a great chance to "rent the cow", but I was outflanked. This was a gal I would've rather dated and had a long-term relationship with (i.e. "buy the cow".) So what does one do when the cow is for rent but you're actually rather interested in buying it?

I see that there haven't been too many recent reviews for this club. This place was never one of my favorites, but I stopped by in February and was pleasantly surprised. They did not have a lot of dancers there, but the ones that were there were vary attractive. But the best part is that these girls realize that the economy is bad and are willing to cut some pretty good deals. I found that I could get the same "full service" that I usually get at Coliseum for about half the price. I talked to one slender but attractive lady who said she charges a flat $150 for some heavy action that included mutual oral sex. So we went in the VIP and did at least 10 dances before I climaxed, and she still only needed $150. That was only $15 per dance, and the normal rate is $20. At Coliseum the dances are $25 and the girls expect a good tip for doing extras. So I came back a week later and the girl who gave me such a deal was not there. But I managed to get a similar deal from a much prettier girl. I have been back a few times since and so far I have not been disappointed. And I have not been back to Coliseum since.

Stopped in for a visit to see an old dancer friend, the place hasn't changed in look's but the staff has taken a turn for the worse. This club has been hit hard by the economy, staff not happy and the girl's are much more hard up. My old friend no longer dance's, so i looked for some new talent. The picking's where slim. Left after an hour and a half. 8 mile is hit bad on this side of town.

Stopped in around 8:30. Not too many dancers working, and they were just OK. One sat down who went by McKenzie. She was younger and was generally attractive. We had a nice chat and I decided to taker her up on the offer of a dance. This was first time in new Tycoon's VIP. I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan of the $5 to get back there, and the booths are way too small. Plus, the booths have no curtains. And they charge $25 per dance. For that, go to Coliseum of Penthouse. The dance was OK; not great, but I've had worse.
