Visiting Minneapolis post Covid after 3 years gap. We had a nice party at some clubs on First Ave and then made our way to Dejavu around 1 pm. Glad to see it was busy and buzzing Sat night. Paid $10 cover and $13 for mandatory drink. It was perfect timing to get in as they invited all girls on stage for introductions. There were around 20-25 girls. There were 5 who caught my attention Iris, Cecile, Barbie stage names. I asked one of them and got info $20 for couch dance, $60 for bed dance on 2nd floor and $300 VIP on third floor. I was mentioned strictly no touching on first and second floor. I had my eye on Cecile a beautiful European looks blonde with great natural tits. She was just though and a simple looking WIsconsin girl stopped and had a good conversation. I obliged for a couch dance since she was nice. The lap dance was boring though no touching and she barely made contacts in right places. Then Cecile stopped by , she was pushy asking for tips in advance not a good sign but since I had an eye on her I agreed. The dance was better, good sensual eye contact but again not much body contact. Have her $5 additional tip and she started whole thing that you are cheap and stuff which ruined the night for me. Left after watching some girls 10 mins afterwards. Overall experience not that great

Minneapolis, MN. Club is downtown, not far from the Mississippi river. I parked a couple blocks down washington avenue. Walk in there's a guy at the podium. I think cover is like $10 or $15, free military. But you got to buy a drink at the bar. it's like around $10 for a water. Layout, feels pretty big, looks nice but also like it hasn't been updated in a while. In talking to some of the Minnesota guys, this place used to be THE SPOT in Minny back in the late 90's. Layout is bar on right while coming in, bathroom just past that on the right. Out on the floor one main stage, for as many girls as there were only one girl on the stage and she's up there for a few songs. So it doesn't cylce maybe as fast as you would like. There's upstairs to with various room options. Lap dances are no touch, they can touch you along the back wall in front of the stage. Those are $20 a song. This club customer base is built on lost drunk guys that wandered in. white, black and a lot asian younger guys here. A lot of groups. But spread out, wasn't packed, just everybody came from a bar and looks like they never been in a strip club before kind of people. Dancers, I wouldn't come here expecting models. Some older girls that look like they been dancing for a while and some younger. Nothing blew me away here. I was talking some cute girl name chelsea, pretty face, nice girl, brunette, white girl. Just didn't have that dynamite kind of body I was looking for on this night. She was nice and maybe would've gotten dances if I could actually do something with it but I passed. I tipped her though because she really gave me a rundown of this strip club and of the Minneapolis scene in general. VIP does not sound like fun here at all. Overall I believe I missed out on the good old days of this place. I took off in my Red Corvette. This place was good for a few years, a few years ago. Unfortunately, they completed a bit of an upgrade like 2 years (ish) ago and they added cameras upstairs and increased the lighting. Now, keep in mind this was a big name club, downtown, in a major metropolitan area but they used to have solid extras upstairs in VIP. This place was never a “touch” club. However, it was dark and the rooms were pretty private up in VIP so there was as much two way touching as you desired with plenty of dancers giving hand jobs for no extra fee. Anything beyond that, I’ve only heard rumors and can’t confirm. After the upgrade, the vip was lit up, two way touching was no more, and a lot of the dancers who did those extras I no longer saw there. They were basically running this place like an annoying factory. A dancer on stage for 3 songs, then another for 3 songs, then all dancers to the stage while the DJ announced a 2 4 1, and the dancers all exit the stage and all just walk up to everyone there and ask if they want a dance. $20 couch dances with zero touching. $60 bed dances with zero touching. $100 VIP bed dances with now zero touching. Anyway I noticed a couple dancers who I’ve known to participate in some extras had started to work here so I thought maybe they had returned to their previous operations, but it didn’t seem like it. You could grab booty in VIP but that’s all. Granted I only did 1 dance with 1 person up there perhaps I was just unlucky, but I didn’t really see anything to suggest that. So, maybe making it’s way back to being worth it but not quite yet.

Rolled in at about 8 on a Friday evening. It’s been a couple years but did not notice any covid restrictions. 10 dollar cover and 13 for the mandatory beverage also seemed consistent with past practice. The night was just getting started but there were probably more dancers than customers at the time. As is usual at deja vu, several dancers tend to either sit/mill around without a purpose after exiting the elevator (question for the peanut gallery: do guys go upstairs on their own to find them?) or just go out for frequent smoke breaks but plenty others were hustling along the floor. Bought a few couch dances with 4-5 different dancers. They were overall friendly and talkative, which is probably easy to do when the night starts slow, and all appeared conventionally attractive but there were a variety of types working. Mileage ranged from reasonable to good but they follow the rules here so these are one way contact dances and I saw one PL nearby get flat out told he had to keep his hands at his sides. Not sure about the deal with private dances but I appreciate no one trying to push the hard sell on those. Stage shows were slow but okay with plenty of dancers rotating through. Seemed like a handful of dudes I assumed were regulars and a couple small groups of bros were it for the crowd? Short version: the Vu is still reliable, clean on the ground floor, with good talent but limited foot traffic by customers outside peak hours

Went on a Friday night. There were plenty of people, but not full, so not hard to find a place to sit. $10 to get in and mandatory $13 drink to get in. The stage show was solid. 1-2 girls up at a time. Club is full nude and sets last 3 songs. COVID restrictions have been lifted so there was solid interaction at the rail depending on the girl. Most of the girls were friendly and would sit and chat for a while, only a few opened with "Want a dance?" Dances are $20 with hands at your sides, but good contact otherwise. VIP area is semiprivate beds. $90 for 3 songs, $300 for 30 min, $600 for 60 min. Mileage is variable, but seems to be mostly minimal hands, but more contact. Overall a pretty good experience

Wow...this place used to be the King of the Hill of Minneapolis strip joints. It never was the best lap dance spot, but just by it's sheer size and number of hot women, it would be the place that was consistently packed. Those days now appear to be long gone. I made my annual trip to the Vu to check if things had gotten any better there late on a Thursday after a very satisfying visit to Downtown Cabaret. While most Minneapolis clubs re-opened post Covid for the second time in January, the Vu did not reopen until around Easter. There were no significant Covid protocals in place on this visit. Got to Deja Vu around 2 a.m. when the place is usually jamming with the bar closing rush. But this night it was so subdued. Where usually at that time you would have to stand or rove around to find a free chair, this night you could sit pretty much anywhere you want...maybe 30 customers total in the club. Only a handful of folks at the rail, and about half of them were chicks. Just wanting to get my bearings, I took a seat at a table a row back from the stage. And what I witnessed was very disappointing. For being a fully nude joint, about three-quarters of the stage dancers never took off their panties. But then again, maybe they were doing us a favor. This former 7-up factory now has a corps of 4s and 5s with the occasional 7. Deja Vu's catch phrase is "1,000s of beautiful girls and 3 ugly ones," which used to be not far from true. This place used to have knock outs wall to wall with just a few dancers had no business being on stage. That ratio has completely flipped. It used to have dancers who commanded the stage and put a lot of effort into an intriguing stage show. Now it is just a bunch of average strippers doing average dances for an average crowd. It's still essentially a lap dance factory with the most uttered line from dancers being "Do you want a dance?" But not from these porkers. They don't even have the girl-next-door appeal. And the dance pricing structure looks like their really swinging for the fences now. I'm assuming single dances are still $20 and are done at half couches around the outer walls of the first floor main room. From what I could see, there was occasional one-way contact by the dancer, which is better than the single air dances the club was providing a year ago. They've moved a couple pool tables up to the second level mini-stage, which wasn't in use the night I was there. Are are cubicles around the walls on that level, too, at prices that weren't posted. The Erotic Loft on level 3 used to be a good deal with the right girl: for 3 dances for around $100 with limited 2-way touching. Now they charge 3 for $90; $300 for a half hour; $600 for an hour. Not sure what the mileage level is. And I didn't see anyone in the house that was even worth spending half of that. It's $23 to get in the door for cover and bottomless soft drinks. It appears they have quit doing the 2-for-1 dance specials which were actually two songs cut to half their time. And there was one lame on stage birthday celebration while I was there where the birthday boy sits on a chair while a line of strippers take turns using and abusing him. And they play the same old tired song that I heard on my first visit to the Vu 27 years ago. Maybe the mystique of this place has finally worn away. I won't be back for at least another year.

Made my second venture out into the post-lockdown realm of Minneapolis strip clubs. I believe this is the only downtown club that is open that is fully nude. I always go in with great hopes of finding a gem but keep getting beat down by the money grab that is life at Deja Vu. I got there about 9:30 p.m. and there were a handful of customers and dancers. Cover was $10 and you have to buy a soft drink (unlimited soda) for $13. I wore my mask into the lobby. Greeter was also masked but did not take any other steps to explain COVID precautions. Lots of signs in the place reminding to keep 6-foot social distancing. Half of the stageside chairs were taken out and replaced with small tables. Then the explainations started. A dancer sat with me and explained that the club will now only be open Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The initial opening schedule was daily...opening at 8. After stage tipping 4 or 5 dancers, another dancer stopped by to explain the new dance pricing structure. First floor dances are $20 fully nude but all air. The third floor has topless contact dances priced at $90 for 3 songs, $300 for a half hour and $600 for an hour. That was all she was going to tell me until I asked about the second floor booths and she confirmed that they were still 3 for $60. I assumed that they were still topless contact dances. She asked if I wanted a dance but I passed with her shady menu explanation. Ryder took the stage and she has a unique look...lots of tats, spikey shoes but an angelic face. Saved a fiver to tip at the end of her set to show my further interest and she sought me out after returning to the floor. I asked to do the 3 song set on the second floor. That's always been the best value in the past. We get up there...get into a booth and then she says (acting a bit confused) that she can't touch me on this floor either. And she wants the money up front. I should have pulled the plug right then and there But for whatever reason I didn't and got three nude dances and a few close calls with contact. Why am I always a sucker for the games they play at this joint? I never walk out of this place feeling I've received value. There was also a gallows humor among several of the dancers that the club may be reopened but they don't know for how long at the current slow pace of customers. I know I'm not going back any time soon.

Showed up on a Friday night. I tried to use my online free entry coupon and was denied. I went next door to "The Office" and got a free pass. Free entry but still paid the drink fee. There were a lot of dancers. Hard to say how many were there. I have been disappointed in the past at Deja Vu. This visit I was very surprised with the girls. I got 2 floor dances. They had a couple 2 for 1 dance offers that I took advantage of. Very YMMV. I had one great dance and an average dance. After a couple floor dances I met someone worthy of a VIP. VIP was 3 songs for $100. Took the dancer up the elevator. No one else in there and dancer was very handsy. Went to the 3rd floor for the bed dance. The dancer had a fantastic grind. Left a happy man. Overall, I am a Dream Girls fan, but this visit made me rethink Deja Vu.

Arrived about 11:30 on Saturday night. Paid the $10 cover and mandatory $13 drink fee. Always order a water because too much pop gives me gas. Plenty of young, scantily clad girls walking around and hanging out. Main stage 1-2 dollar tipping results in boobs in face and crotch shots when the gstring comes off. Had bed dances with 5 different girls. Touching not allowed, but plenty of crotch on crotch friction, some more than others. Middle floor is 3 songs for $60, upper floor was 3 for $90. No girl would commit to touching for the higher price. Only would say it was "more private". Did all 5 dancers at 3 for $60 and those were good enough to ultimately result in a happy ending on girl 5. Girls less inclined to follow the no touch rule during the day shift.

Visited on Saturday night over Labor Day weekend. $10 entry fee with a minimum spend requirement of $13 on water, soda or juice. For those that love all you can drink lemonade, this place is for you!! (Ha!). No alcohol here, but apparently next door there is and some go back and forth. Dunno for certain though. Arrived via Uber so not sure if there is a parking fee. Noticed a variety of different ethnicities and body types on the mostly you g girls working. Some very very large and tall dancers. One was the size of Andre The Giant (ok, so she was probably only 6'2, but a very large girl). A few very petite girls and a slim asian. Some big afro'd AA girls. Some with tatoos. But apparently quite a few college girls. Had some nerdy looking girls, too. Approached by several girls as I was sitting by myself, away from the stage. I prefer to sit in a spot to see all the talent coming and going, as it's more important to me than seeing the stage performing talent up close. I like to hunt first by scoping my preferable body type from far away. As you can see from my tag line, I prefer a certain body type more so than color of hair or skin. Don't think it was the club's top quality of girls that night as a few were decent but none blew me away. A few girls I talked to mentioned the 8s, 9s and 10s were out of town for the long weekend. Seems to be common with many clubs in big cities across the country from my experience... that top talent isnt around on Labor day, Memorial Day and other holidays. Had read that not much touching is allowed in Minneapolis clubs, so I knew what I was walking into. The girls reiterated that $20 dances on the perimeter of the large room had no touching allowed. However, the $90 dance on the bed in private upstairs allowed all sorts of two way. One girl I spoke with said "you can't have sex in there" but I had the feeling other stuff besides FS would have been on the table. Don't know cuz I didn't go for her. I chose to go for a 3 song $90 dance with a cute girls next door girl who is going to school at my alma mater. Was a good dance and plenty of two way. No stick shifting though. (As a side note, she shared that sales guys are the ones always seeking to push the envelope of boundaries. I kinda chuckled at that observation. ) In summary, because my expectations were tempered, I was happy with the level of action I got. I would like to check the club out sometime during another weekend (ah maybe Sept 27 back to school promo weekend being advertised).

Plenty of different types of girls. I'm sure you can find your type. If you come with the expectation to see pretty girls and get a good vip grind, you will leave happy. I usually skip the 20$ lap and just go to the beds. They use to have a $60 mid level bed, but I do not know if that is still available as the second level seems to be closed now. Touching s limited with the beautiful brunette I took to the upstairs 3rd level bed. But since that was to be expected, I just enjoyed the grind and did not worry about it.
