Watering Hole Lounge

It’s been a long time since I visited this club, but popped in on my way back from Huntsville. I was pleasantly surprised by both the quantity and quality of the dancers. Last time I visited, I think there were only 3 or 4 dancers and none were particularly attractive. This time, there were 9 dancers and all were decent. Cover has gone from $5 to $7, but still reasonable. Beers are $3. Kat was a petite blonde with a big chest and very cute. Barbie was another attractive dancer. I would have definitely tried a private dance with either of them. The others were all decent and the mix was about even between white and AA. Pretty diverse crowd. Some couples, a pair of unescorted women, lots of young guys and drunken country folks...kind of what you expect for a local club out in the country. Would have loved to sample the private dances, but never could catch the eye of any of the dancers I would have been interested in. It doesn’t look like the private dances offer much mileage, but at $20 a dance, I did want to sample. Maybe next time. I don’t think this club will be like it was when Magic and Joy and some others were working it in the private dance area, but still was better than my visit to a Huntsville club.

After reopening under new owners, they still have the feel of the old Watering hole. $7 to get in and do have cheap beer. Also you can BYOB. Decent sized stage in middle of room and seating around it and at the bar. No 3ft rule like Nashville has and worth a 40min drive down there. The girls are hit and miss. There is a handful that give great vip dances and will take time to chat. Most wont hound you for a dance, it there is a few that only talk to you to ask for a dance. The one drawback is many of the girls are more interested in sitting and chatting with there BF or just on there phone the whole time. The best looking ones typically give the worst vip dances FYI, so choose wisely. The bartender is amazing and has some great tits. Tip her when she brings your beer and you will find out. Girl rotation has been the same for the last few months, but they do get new ones periodically. Still better that any other club in Nashville area.

Been a while since I stopped in to the Watering Hole. There have been some physical changes to the club. The stage has been extended out into the main room. A pole has been added at the end of the new stage. New plastic tables and chairs are scattered around. The tables are long, like picnic tables, and have six or eight chairs around them. Feels weird when you’re there by yourself to be sitting at a huge table with a bunch of empty chairs, but I guess this plays to the club’s vibe as a neighborhood hangout. You could sit around with a bunch of buddies and just chill. The thing is there was hardly anyone there. A couple of guys were shooting pool. One guy was at the bar. The number and quality of the dancers might explain the lack of customers. For the most part, the dancers were a bit heavier than I prefer. Fairly attractive, but certainly no stunners. One AA dancer and the rest were white. Girls did two songs and most removed their top on the second song. Little to no contact at the tip rail. Again, aptly named because it just seems to a local watering hole. You could hang out with some friends, drink a beer or two, and shoot some pool. The strip club part seems almost secondary.

After seeing that the Hole was open again, I thought I would check it out. Lots of cars and one 18 wheeler in the lot when I arrived. And there were certainly more people inside than in the past. Not sure how many were customers and how many were employees or friends of the employees that were just hanging out. There were quite a few women shooting pool and talking with the woman I assume is the new owner. The cover was $5 and a beer was $3. So prices are the same as before. Dances are still $20. Unlike some places that have two for ones or other specials, I don’t think this club ever runs specials on dances. There were only 3 dancers on duty when I arrived about 8:30...Pocahontas, Sky, and Bobbie. It took a while before they could get them to come out and dance. A little later Anastasia, Constance, and Juicy Jai came in. Constance had some impressive pole skills. One thing that was odd was that 3 of the 6 dancers didn’t even take their tops off. So this is a topless strip club, but I guess that’s optional. That convinced me to skip a private dance. I didn’t take the lack of stripping as a good sign that fun was going to be had in the private dance area. Another indicator was that the few dances I saw taking place were one song and done. Of course, it’s not like the girls were working the room trying to get dances. Most did their two song set and disappeared back to the dressing room.

Purchased by a new owner, a lady whose name I do not know. She did some very minor renovations physically. Cover was $5, dances were $20, beers were $4. That is the same and pretty much the standard now. Now for the bad news. The lady is evidently a Puritan. I got one dance in the old booths. The owner looked in through the wooden grating twice, and the bouncer walked through once., for one dance. Looks like the mileage at the Watering Hole (what it was known and loved for by hobbyists), is now practically null. I saw a couple of guys thrown out of the club for evidently touching one of the girls on stage and on the floor or touching a waitress. They made several announcements in the hour I was there. You cannot touch any of the dancers, or servers at the club. It will be interesting to see how this works out. Since the only other club, the former Utopia now the Midnight Express is ruined, and it is has gotten even worse since I was there last it may make it. There is evidently a lot of drama between the clubs now which was a little amusing. The lady Owner of the Hole was talking about the the Express, and the Lady Manager of the Express was talking about the the new owner of the Hole. So for all of the Nashville Folks seeking some entertainment, it is probably best to continue to Huntsville as the closest place to have some fun.

I made the trip from Nashville to Pulaski, because I read a review saying the the club had reopened. If it was true, then it was very short term because the club was not only closed, it had a for sale sign by the door. Very disappointed and decided to check next door to see if it had improved at all since my last review. I will be posting that in a few days, after I get access to me reviews to compare what I wrote previously with what i experienced Saturday evening. Until then, I continue to lament the loss of the watering hole, it was a great place, and a wonderful refuge from the Nashville clubs. RIP
