Life sure has changed in this country since I was young. When I was in my teens/early 20s Massachusetts was subject to "blue laws". That meant no stores were open on Sunday and no liquor sales except in bars and restaurants. Between 10:45 and 11:00 p.m. open Saturday nights package stores were slammed with business as we all bought "Sunday beers" for the next day to avoid the 100 mile round trip drive to New Hampshire to buy them on Sunday. Of course most of the time we ended up doing the drive because once you're drunk, the idea of saving beers for the next day seemed stupid. Do you recall Sunday beers? Anything similar?

When I moved from California to Georgia in 1987 I had to face a lot of blue laws. The town that I live in now was dry back then but thing gradually changed over the years. we now have 4 liquor stores that are open on Sunday. I can remember going to a restaurant in Griffin GA and on the menu it stated a maximum of 2 drinks.
