Canada is basically our bitch but I agree Trump's talking out his arsehole here.
We had a 88 billion trade deficit in July of this year compared to a 78 billion dollar trade deficit in July 2024 when Biden was president. So Trump has managed to make things worse. Domestic investors are reluctant to invest money in factories manufacturing goods here because of Trump's chaotic and unpredictable trade policy. Investors want long term stability when it comes to tariffs.
I voted for Trump but I may have made a mistake voting for someone that old, just as Democrats made a mistake voting for Biden. I still work at seventy but I am almost certain I could not handle a high pressure job with long hours like being the president. Both Biden and Trump have exhibited that mental confusion and erratic behavior you see sometimes among the elderly.
