A couple of my favs had poles like that set up in their (rented) places. They're held in place like a tension curtain rod. I was always surprised they didn't end up ripping a chunk of drywall out of the ceiling. Maybe the chick in the video was worried about that too, so she went light on the tension against the ceiling.

That's one way to lose your security deposit. I feel sorry for the folks in the units below her.
