Republicans seek 1 billion in taxpayer dollars for a ballroom

Is this a joke? Spirit Airlines was just destroyed by the ever increasing gas prices of this incredibly stupid war and Republicans want to piss away our tax dollars on a ballroom. Republicans sure get the priorities of millions of Americans struggling right now. They want a taxpayer funded ballroom. Republicans are so in touch with what the people want.

Trump claimed that his ballroom would be built at no cost to US taxpayers. If anyone believed him (or anything else he says on any topic), they are incredibly gullible.

" Spirit Airlines was just destroyed by the ever increasing gas prices..." Spirit was already on a death spiral. The previous Administration/DOJ sued over antitrust & blocked the Spirit/JetBlue $4B merger. Spirit's business model was seriously flawed.

Congress is recommending $1B for Secret Service/perimeter security tied to the Ballroom project. There is something wrong with the Secret Service and overall security they provide. Holding large State events in a tent is for the largest economy on Earth is just stupid. Not paying agents is evil on behave of the Dems blocking DHS funding, yet Congress is getting paid. America is advancing to a more violent state with no end in sight, security needs to be greatly improved.

I'm sure you were upset over gas prices back in 2021-2023 when crude dipped to about $25 in 2020. Senate Dems blocked funding requested by Trump to add to the SPR, calling it a $3B bailout for big oil. Then, in 2021-2023 when prices went way up due to Bidenomincs Inflation, Biden's crew released SPR to help artificially slightly lower the price at the pump at Taxpayers' expense. SPR is for a crisis, not to lower prices.

Since the mid-1960s, PBS/NBR/CPB.etc got Federal Taxpayer support - $500M for 2026 and $600M for 2027 that was finally CUT. More precisely, around $15B since the 1960s, with around $8B from 2015-2025 plus some "emergency funding" helping to support Million Dollar salaries & perks to execs and on-air talent that supported 90% Left and 10% Right content.

I bet that upset your lower tract. Or the $2B+ for the Federal Reserve building renovation when Feds have a lot of unused building? Or the theft of 100s of Billions being uncovered from Federal Dollars sent to all States - Dem states appear to be most egregious?

BTW, I'm not happy with gas prices at all. Finally, Iran is being prevented from, so far, getting a nuke they would use for their 800 AD Islamic Revolution. That I'm happy with.

I'm even less happy that those pussy countries that depend on fossil fuels from the ME aren't stepping up to provide safe-passage security for their energy. Yeah, we lit-up Iran, and we now Iran had missiles that already could reach Europe - once again saving Europe's asses. AND, that ME countries allowed Iran to fund terrorism and ramp-up nuclear the way they did.

UAE has backed out of OPEC - it seems like an excellent first step in global energy economics. @Sinclair you would know way better than me.

A billion in taxpayer dollars for a ballroom with incredibly high gas prices that Trump is directly responsible for is awesome! Maybe Trump can accomplish getting to a 20% approval rating!

Dusty, you might want to look into an SSRI, your obsession with Trump isn't doing your psyche much good. Despite our repeated beefs I don't wish anyone here to suffer.

I never flew Spirit but have been told it's an absolutely degrading experience.

Somehow other budget airlines like Frontier and RyanAir are still operating.

Does the country think he's doing a good job? You said you don't agree with this war yourself. How will people feel if gas goes up another $1.50 per gallon? He's the least popular president ever and it's increasing daily.

Trump is 100% directly responsible for these extremely high gas prices. People hate him more every single day they see these prices and know that he is the direct cause.

Trump’s approval/disapproval is 8 points better than the Democratic party's. Get out your bubble, we're trying to trade you to Canada.

How would he feel if gas goes up a buck fifty? I'm filing this alongside your Harris 400 EV and porn and strip clubs becoming illegal projections. In the bin.

You could be paying $8 a gallon for gas and still defending your cult leader. Nobody else will be.

@dustyj im just going to point out as far as puddytat… first, hes got a small dick and hes very insecure about it. I figured this out when i noticed its his go to insult anytime he gets beat in a political argument or even any argument on any subject. I think hes accused like 100 people of having one, lol.

The other thing is, when guys like skibum or mogul talk about wanting to mass murder or nuke immigrants, commies, Moslems.. puddy still befriends them and casually acts like theyre just normal people. Even if he agrees with you on gas prices or the iran war or whatever else… at the end of the day he is unwilling to call out the extremist element of the right

Oh yeah, puddy is claiming to have movie star looks, too, now. Lol.

“ Yeah, we lit-up Iran, and we now Iran had missiles that already could reach Europe - once again saving Europe's asses. AND, that ME countries allowed Iran to fund terrorism and ramp-up nuclear the way they did.”

Thats pure conspiracy. They dont have those missiles, perhaps they could have developed them eventually, but even if they did, generally speaking you cant attack someone merely for developing a weapon, they have to actually attack you first.

The other stuff you posted about other ME countries allowing iran to fund terrorism is nonsensical.. none of these middle eastern countries like iran.. they are all Sunni and iran is Shia.. what you fail to understand is the gulf countries dont have their own militaries.. they just have defense deals with the US. So there is nothing those gulf countries could personally do to iran.. they simply dont even have the means to do anything

Life is so much better. The skies are blue again, we got some much needed snow and rain in The Rockies the past 24 hours - I attribute this to me MUTING Rick The Hickster. Life is so much better.

The $1B you yak about is for Secret Service much needed improvements at the WH. Nothing to do with the Ballroom. The terror threat is clearly amp'ing up and so must security. @dustyj do you hit the pipe when you wake up? $8 gas? Another $1.50 more?

I going to win PowerBall - it's just fun to say shit now isn't it. Both are about the same odds.

Gas goes up literally every week here. Maybe you're dumb enough to not care about that but most people do.
