The greatest PR feat that Israel's enemies ever pulled off is to convince stupid and otherwise gullible types that Israel is a warmongering nation.

Israel is the size of New Jersey with only 10 million people, only 8 million of whom are even Jewish. Anyone who thinks that they want conflict with hundreds of millions of Arabs surrounding them on all sides is a fucking moron.

They have been forced to maintain buffer zones around their country because every time they pull back, the violence resumes. Suicide bombers, random rockets shot into civilian areas, random paramilitary assaults on civilian targets - it never stops. Yet all we ever hear about is Israel's responses to these aggressions.

Imagine if New Jersey became its own country and was surrounded by aggressors on all sides. Israel has to make every single man and woman serve 2 years in the military, and then become reservists to be called back when needed, just to be able to defend itself.

Israel has always been desperate for true peace. If Iran and its Axis of Resistance can finally be neutralized, they may actually have a chance at a sustained peace for the first time in the country's history.
