I am almost ready for a new beer so rather than go through telling her no drink in front of the bartender, I say: "I understand you're working and time is money, so I feel I have to tell you I will not be getting dances or sitting and drinking with you". Her: "Why"? Me: "Does it rally matter?" Her: "Yes, very much". Me: "OK I am not into your physical type". Her: "You think I'm ugly"? Me: "No just too tall and thick for my preferences". I used to think “It’s a free country. If she wants to sit down next to me who am I to say no?” Also, it feels impolite to say “no”.
