Is it safe for women to go alone? Do they allow that? Can I ask the dancer beforehand what the contact rules are? I’d love motorboating and heavy grinding, is that possible for the standard 20$ dances? Do they at least go topless or just lingerie?

Don't know why morone's answer has to be so cryptic. I haven't been in that area for many years to know if it is safe. Other than that, women are often entertained in the Minneapolis clubs like Rick's and Downtown Cabaret. Don't know if I've ever seen a woman enter alone, though.
All three clubs are topless at least. I believe the Vu is full nude yet. Rick's may be more welcoming for your first attempt. However, depending on the vibe you give off, they may think you are an activist against women being "exploited" or something.
The higher chance of mileage on floor dances would be somewhere like Sugar’s in Hager City WI about 45 minutes away from downtown. I’d call and ask the club if it’s okay for you to come in alone as a female customer ahead of time, because it would be a real pain in the rear if you get turned away. It’s a gorgeous out there in the summer/fall time though.
A woman I knew used to go to the Seville, but it was always with friends.
Pick a different club.
