I was at a SC on a slow night with only 3 dancers rotating on stage. I was shooting the shit with this guy from from the base. We were both bored just becace everything was dead around us.
Anyway, he told me this story that he got a private lapdance in the backroom of a SC a few months ago.
In the back room, He had a stack of 1s laying on the table beside him.
He wasn't putting the dollar bills in the dancer 's g-string but had the 1s on the table while the Dancer was bumping and grinding on him.
The dancer finished her dance after the song was complete.
He grabbed the stack as he was about to leave until the dancer protested and demanded the tip money.
He said the " tips" were for extras.
She didnt do any extras so no tip.
She got the bouncer involved and the guy told the bouncer the same thing
He paid for the dance which is what she performed.
She didn't do anything that deserved a tip...so why should he leave her one???
He said both the dancer and bouncer tried to convince him that tips were customary and not meant for haggle.
He said tips are for going above and beyond..just like a waitress going above to give you exemoary and not mandatory.
He re-interated he paid for a dance which is what she gave him . She wasnt obligated to receive a tip.
The dancer gave up and walked out sulking.
The Bouncer told dude the danc was over so he needs to go back to the main room.
Dude said he was planning to do so anyway after the dance was finished but the Dancer started to make it an issue.
Was the guy wrong for not giving a tip?
True enough, this could have went way wrong.
I sized dude up. He wasn't the tallest but he's a big boy so I'm sure he could take a punch and throw a few of his own.
I don't think he Legally broke the law either. Apparently they didnt bar him from the SC
So was he in the wrong for not tipping?
