I'm pretty sure this club long gone. It was in a somewhat sketchy part of town, below a hotel.
The girls didn't circulate to sell their services, but simply performed on stage. The "audience" faced the stage as if it were a play or a concert. The manager kept a book with dancer names and photos, and you could choose a girl from the book. Obviously he had arranged the photos at the beginning of the shift to reflect who was working that day.
If you chose a girl, I think you paid something like $80 for a goodly amount of time, maybe a half hour. and you would go with your choice to a private space. YMMV, but if I recall, it was generally off the charts.
Does anyone have any memories of this place?

I believe you are referring to Backstage Theatre f/k/a Fairbank Hotel. I was only there once or twice but you are correct that there was a "booker" who would walk around with a book of pictures and the prices were reasonable. After the dancer visa was cancelled the quality went down, but it was still pretty good and value. I don't remember exactly when they closed, but it was 2-3 years ago. I believe that the owners sold the building for a future condo development, which hasn't happened yet. A year or so ago they tried to open in a different location, but it wasn't the same and didn't last.
