Follies is COMING BACK

I just saw this while at work.

I know IwantHer already posted but I have to capitalize on this.

I'll be watching updates on Instagram. I am definitely going to opening night. If even half of old Follies magic is there then it's worth the investment.

It doesn’t matter what you call it follies is gone. All the young American strippers are gone and the remaining are at PP or for mileage TT. The days of 50 dollar vips and 100 to the girl are over. Even lappers aren’t 10 anymore. Unless management has a way to lure them back by giving a biggger share of the pie, it won’t make a difference

I guess I need to go back to Tijuana soon.

I mean, the truth is that Follies would be competing for the Vivide and Club Platinum dancers and clients more than anything else.

I just want another good extras club, and SYN has been a disappointment in that regard.

^ Has Platinum been restored to its former glory? Thought someone here said it was kind of sleepy and Vivide is the "it" spot now. I wouldn't mind a place with reasonably priced non-Latina extras.

Since Jimi and Courtney pulled out of Platinum to try their luck at Allure, it appears from the Instagram posts that it is turning into a make it rain club.

@ Puddytat, I wish I knew, unfortunately it's been awhile since my last ATL trip. I will have to remedy that soon.

Sad that folks are still hanging on to the remnants of a long gone club.

There is no coming back.

Slapping the name to another building in another location is not a “comeback”.

And logistically, it definitely wouldn’t be a comeback to this club. For those who have not been, this is pretty much the smallest club of all possible Atlanta area clubs.

It just ain’t happening beyond, at best, a naming convention.

@ ww, what is the specific location? I didn't see it on Instagram. I mean the address.

Is it a smaller club than Golden Showbar?

If you mean Goldrush Show bar, you could probably put 4 Rain clubs inside Goldrush.

You can put it in the same building, you can put it under the same management, you can even put the same sign on the building - the new Follie will not be the old Follies. For one, the energy and inertia of the old Follies cannot be duplicated or even recreated. The immovable object will be the county and city leadership will never let it grow to become what it had been. They worked or years, over several government admins, to close Follies. To remain open and profitable, a new Follies would have to be no different from Vivide and the other clubs. It's a shame, I was only to Follies once but it was very memorable.

Nice. Hadn't seen that vid @Muddy. A "classy strip club" lol. It's funny hearing that and even reading reviews from 20 years that describe Follies as classy. Definitely like that it got more laid back toward the end of its run 😂

"Classy strip club" = more money, less mileage.
Yeah, no.
