Does anyone feel that we have a creeping increase of conflict that could be edging closer to a third world war? Russia-Ukraine, Hamas-Israel, Houthi rebels v the West as active battles. Iran backing proxies in Hamas, Lebanon, and Yemen in active conflicts. China increasingly aggressive against Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and any other country losing EEZ to China's BS nine dash line. Almost irreversible attacks against Iran's nuclear program on razor's edge. I cannot think of any time in my 40+ years that the world has felt this close to a global conflict.
Pakistan v India has my attention because there was a recent study, peer-reviewed, which showed that a regional nuclear exchange between those two third-world countries would result in enough soot and ash aerosols to block out the sun for years. The resultant mini-ice age and famine would be a world-changing catastrophe.

On the bright side: nuclear winter powder days will make next ski season amazing. Already have my pass.
