This guy sang the original in 1961. This is him in 2016.
Can old people sing?

He quit in the 50s.
Johnny Mathis at 89 is still doing concerts.
He’s the exception. Most old singers lose their chops, but make up for it with more feeling. Years of belting out songs on stage takes its toll.
This is what a great vocal performance from a man in his prime looks like. I’m not sure how he sounds today. This song was kind of my theme song back in the day: m.youtube.com
It is amazing just how well old men can sing. (but I'm sure it takes some practice.)
Here’s an old person singing youtube.com

^ ha ha - great Townes Van Sant song ! - but they recorded that over 40 years ago
Yeah but I saw it live on a tv show a few years back with Merle and Willie I think it was Willie Nelson’s 80th birthday
… we only let him go so long Out of kindness, I suppose
^ 😀
I love oldies. Even if they aren't as good back in the day, what the fuck do I care? Live music usually rocks.
^It was weird seeing Tommy James last year, since I first heard of him when I was in the 7th grade. Still sounds good.
Tony Bennett always sounded amazing.
Old people can always sing oldies, but I was personally very impressed with Johnny Cash's covers of "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode and "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails.
I saw Judas Priest last summer. At 73 Rob Halford sounds just as good as he ever did.
They can dance too
