Joking aside, it was a good outcome. The shorter CR is almost certainly better. The bigger spending bills are, the more likely they are to be full of pork. But it's pathetic that Trump's willing to risk a shutdown, just to get rid of the (dumb) debt ceiling, while having a flimsy claim that Biden was responsible for getting rid of it. If Trump buries the hatchet with Johnson, it will a good sign that he doesn't think as crazy as he talks.
