Yes, Popeye the Sailor Man did get the live action treatment once before with Robin Williams in the titled role. I remember that I saw it in theaters as a young child, but not much else. Now, as Hollywood continues to mine and rape our childhoods, they are releasing a new Popeye live action movie.
