The Fifth Collegiate Court of the Fifteenth Circuit of Mexicali is considering, through an injunction, returning the “Adelitas” Bar to Juvenal Jiménez Loza, alias "El Padrino."

Raul Flores Martinez | 29-08-2024

The Fifth Collegiate Court of the Fifteenth Circuit of Mexicali is considering, through an injunction, which will be granted by District Judge Hugo Tonatiuh Tagle Hernández, returning the " Bar Adelitas" to Juvenal Jiménez Loza, alias "El Padrino" , leader of a human trafficking network who obtained illicit profits of over 100 million pesos per month from the forced prostitution of dozens of women in this establishment.

Judges Juan Manuel García Figueroa, Manuel Juárez Molina and Héctor Guzmán Castillo, members of the Fifth Collegiate Court of the Fifteenth Circuit of Mexicali, Baja California, in the incident under review 70/2024 validated an unconstitutional act issued by Judge Enrique Hernández Miranda within the criminal case 19/2023, followed in the Federal Criminal Justice Center of Hermosillo, Sonora, translating that the handover of the "Adelitas" Bar and the Coahuila Hotel will be the immediate opening of the operations center for the exploitation of women through Human Trafficking.

This decision has generated controversy among various groups of activists against human trafficking in Mexico and the United States, due to the history of the establishment that was used as the operations center of Juvenal Jiménez Loza "El Padrino" and his sons Damián, José Damián and Aschley Jiménez Álvarez; in addition to his right-hand man Servando Díaz López, "El Guante."

The “Bar Adelitas” and the Hotel Coahuila, both located in the northern area of Tijuana, Baja California, were used for decades by "El Padrino", until it was seized by the Attorney General's Office (FGR) during an operation in February 2023.

According to sources from the FGR, the appeal is filed in the Sixteenth District Court in the state of Baja California, under file 642/2023, which must be resolved by Judge Tagle Hernández.

This is not the first time that a judge has protected this leader of organized crime, who is being tried at liberty despite the fact that he is planning to flee because he has the resources to evade Mexican justice.

It should be remembered that the Control Judge in Sonora, Enrique Hernández Miranda, due to fatigue and omission, did not dictate precautionary measures against one of the priority targets of the federal Government, "El Padrino" accused of the crimes of human trafficking in the form of exploitation through prostitution of others and public or private exhibitions of an aggravated sexual nature and organized crime.

Juvenal Jiménez, alias “El Padrino,” built a huge empire through the forced sexual exploitation of dozens of women at the “Bar Adelitas,” located in the red light district of Tijuana, Baja California.

An empire of more than 60 properties ranging from hotels, cattle ranches, gas stations, houses in exclusive subdivisions; in addition to millions of pesos and dollars in more than a dozen accounts in various banking institutions, currency exchange centers and brokerage firms.

All this is handled through 22 companies, including Inmobiliaria DAYA S de RL de CV; Inmobiliaria y Constructora JD Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable; Damián de Tijuana, SA de CV; JA Administración S. de RL de CV; Corporativo de Entretenimiento SA de CV; ASJI SA de CV. In addition, there are 27 front men, including children, relatives and close friends of “The Godfather” who have been detected by the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Treasury Department.

To date, the leader of the Human Trafficking organization known as "El Padrino" enjoys impunity and protection from judges and magistrates who are already being investigated for possible acts of corruption, who have granted various injunctions that are filed in the Collegiate Court of Appeals of the Fifteenth Circuit based in Tijuana, with file numbers 31/2024 and 32/2024.

Not sure if it passes the sniff test. Why only Adelitas and not the other clubs amd street girls? Anyone who is truly forcing women into prostitution should be fully prosecuted and their assets seized, but without more context it seems like selective enforcement.

Gammanu95 likely you are right, selective enforcement maybe driven by a competitor.

A mesero who has some inside information said another charge included money laundering because authorities found a lot of unaccounted for cash.

Very interesting. I'll be very surprised if and/or when it ever opens again.

My suspicion exactly PT. How about a competitor whose initals are “HK”? Wouldn’t surprise me if eventually HK takes over Adelita’s property and completes building its empire.

from my understanding it's all in the family anyway.
