When Hilton got out of the casino business the Flamingo in Reno was sold to become condos during the Real Estate boom. The subsequent crash bankrupted the project and left a giant vacant spot in the center of the casino district. Haven't been back since before the pandemic, but last time i was there it was so sketchy I chose the hotel based on being connected to 2 others without having to go outside because I didn't want my wife out there .
