  In 2019 Trump could have donated to Hilary, then when she got elected he could have gotten favors, like foreign aid so countries can have Trump build hotels and casinos for them.   Running for president was a continuation and extension of Trump's brand-based business empire.... casinos, hotels, golf courses, university, bottled water, TV shows, etc. He needs to be in the spotlight. Look at all the stuff he has continued to try to sell and make money off of. The notion that somehow along the way he became more motivated by serving his country than serving himself is the funniest thing I read all day. If he was a true patriot he would have respected the results of the 2020 election and not tried to con people it was stolen.
