PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Northwest Portland strip club patron was detained early Friday morning after authorities said a fight led to a shooting.
Just after 1:40 a.m., Portland police officers responded to reports of the shooting outside of the Magic Tavern on Northwest 24th Avenue.
Officials said the early investigation found that the strip club patron got in a fight with two men outside the business, firing at least one shot at them.
Portland school briefly goes into lockdown after threatening call The patron then allegedly shot a woman, an employee of the club, in the leg as she was grabbing a taxi, authorities said.
Police said the woman got in the taxi and went to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Based on a description of the patron, officers were able to stop and detain the suspect at Northwest 25th Ave and Raleigh Street.
